A Better Life

I rather enjoyed this piece! The MC is a black male character with intelligence and soul, which as a black male gamer I greatly appreciate. The LI's are pretty and while they latch on to the MC a little quickly, they are nonetheless enjoyable and endearing. It's short and in its early stages. I'd have preferred a longer demonstration of what this story is capable of. At present this doesn't even really feel like a full chapter. But it feels like it could go places, and I'm watching with great anticipation.

This game deserves 3 stars (yes, this is a review of the current state of the game and not its "potential", weird, right) Visually, the texture quality isn't bad, but the girls' expressions are a bit rough; at times, they seem very exaggerated, but not in a good way. The story is a bit simple: an MC who gets all the girls to fall in love with him because... yes, there isn't much development in that, so it's a bit predictable and can get boring over time. The MC doesn't have much personality; he's pretty flat overall. While I applaud the fact that he's not the stereotypical white MC who looks like a 13-year-old obsessed with having sex with his mother, he doesn't offer much to make him worth remembering or empathizing with. Does he have potential? Yes, but it needs work. As a first demo, it's okay, but it could improve a lot.
