About Almost a Kiss
Almost a Kiss is a Ren'Py visual novel by Weird420XL that uses 3DCG art and follows a male protagonist named Scott. One year after his wife died from a hidden illness, he feels empty and finds relief only in fantasies about his stepdaughter, who has become an adult and is curious about sexual behavior. The story places him in a school setting and asks whether his escalating choices will help him recover or leave him more damaged.
The current build is version 1.0, released February 1, 2024, and development is finished. It runs on Windows, Linux, Mac, and Android in English and is uncensored. The latest update closes the story earlier than planned with a somber ending, adds adult scenes in the final chapter, and includes proofreading changes so dialogue and scenes flow more smoothly.
Developer's description
It's been a year since Scott's beloved wife passed away peacefully in her sleep after a long battle with an illness that she hid from her husband. Ever since her death, Scott's reality has been devoid of color. His only relief has been in his fantasies about his stepdaughter, who has recently come of age and developed a curiosity towards such naughty things. Scott knows that his fantasies are wrong, but they are also the only thing that makes him feel joy. As things escalate, will Scott be able to fix himself, or will he end up even more broken than he was before?
