Back Door Connection is a Ren'Py adult visual novel by Doux, rendered with animated 3D visuals. You play James, a young hacker juggling his sisters' excesses and his mother's fixation on social standing while hiding a second life with Victoria and Alex. With their skills, the group helps people and exposes hidden truths in a world of codes and lies. His private and public lives collide as past and present secrets unravel, forcing him to weigh ethics, family strangeness, and real-world danger. The story blends cheating, corruption, and humor.
The current build is the Christmas Special, released on December 26, 2025, with development still ongoing. It is available for Windows, Linux, Mac, and Android in English, Portuguese, and Spanish, without censorship. The latest update includes Chapter 6.0, trimming pointless choices, adding color highlights to menus and key hacker characters, improving dialogue, shortening sentences, removing redundant lines, refining scene scripts, and introducing a new mechanic for night visit scenes. Spanish was also added.
Developer's description
James is a young hacker who tries to keep his sanity while dealing with his sisters' extravagances and his mother's obsession with social status. Sometimes, being the man of the house can be a challenging task.
But there's another side to James, a secret life. Alongside his hacker friends, Victoria and Alex, they work hard to assist people using their skills and, simultaneously, uncover concealed truths in a world dominated by codes and lies.
James' two lives collide when secrets from the present and past start to unravel, leading to dark paths and decisions that will test his hacker ethics and moral values. Amid strange familiar happenings and dangerous events in the virtual world,
James must balance both sides while facing challenges and threats that arise not only in the virtual realm but also in the real world!
