Blackthorn Manor is a supernatural point-and-click visual novel by JEGP, built in Ren'Py with an animated 3DCG style. You play a struggling writer who inherits a centuries-old mansion linked to the mysterious Blackthorn family. While exploring the property, you meet six ghosts, each with tragic pasts and distinct personalities, from playful pranksters to stern guardians. The story uses branching choices and mature themes as you uncover curses, local superstitions, and the protagonist’s own ties to the legacy, blending horror, humor, and paranormal elements.
The current build is v0.02, released March 20, 2025, and development is ongoing. It is available for Windows and Linux in English, with no censorship. The latest changelog notes new scenes involving Eleanor and Margaret, plus New Day.
