About Breaking Ties

Breaking Ties is an adult visual novel by Secret Arcade, built in Ren'Py with 3D animated renders. It follows Richard and Layla, a couple trying to hold their relationship together as doubts, desires, and outside temptations grow. The story uses cheating and netorare themes, and it has moved from a kinetic novel to a choice-driven visual novel where decisions can change the direction of the plot.

The current build is v0.5, dated July 1, 2025, and development is ongoing. It runs on Windows, Linux, Mac, and Android, in English, with no censorship. This update adds 450 new renders, removes about 100 older ones, and includes six new Daz Studio animations plus four new AI animations. Early chapters were reworked for pacing and consistency. Jack and Layla’s route reaches a major turning point, while Richard’s remote town storyline continues with a strip poker scene involving Sandy and Chloe. After leaving town, Richard’s content is optional.
