But I'm Not Sorry is a Ren'Py visual novel created by Mr. Mu. You play a former soldier trying to rebuild his life twenty years after his wife and daughter were kidnapped. During army service, he left with mental wounds he is only beginning to uncover. As those hidden scars surface, danger, complications, and forbidden desires follow, asking how far a once kind man can fall when suffering consumes him. The game uses animated 3D visuals and includes multiple endings.

The current release is the Prologue, dated June 2, 2026, and development remains in early progress. It is available on Windows, Linux, and Android in English, with no censorship. The latest update is the initial Prologue release, and the creator says future updates will improve and expand the game with player support.

Developer's description

A former soldier tries to rebuild his life 20 years after the kidnapping of his wife and daughter. However, something happened during his time in the army, something that left deep " scars ?" on his mind, the truth of which he is only now beginning to uncover . As those " scars " begin to surface, they bring not only danger and complications… but also dark , forbidden desires he never knew he had. How dark and twisted can a once kind man become when years of suffering and buried " scars " start consuming his mind? The answer lies beyond the Start button.
