The art, atmosphere and animation are very good (if you like the fetishes presented, which I very much do. If you don't, what are you doing here?). But the experience gets dragged down by two major factors. First, the performance. I don't know what engine they're using for this, but it is ass. Every, and I do mean every action you take that has you transition from one menu to another will have a buffer period, which gets really obnoxious after some time. The combat also feels a bit janky at times, though not as much just going from one screen to another, which is ironic. It just really drags the tempo down to an unacceptable level. The second, and far more damning factor, is the combat. You. Can. Not. Lose. Not even if you want to - RNGsus will force you to win. Even if you miraculously get knocked down in combat, you'll face the same issue, where everything is a numbers game and your number is consistently bigger than the enemies. Now, there is a special item that gives you worse luck, problem being that it overcompensates massively - you're forced to lose on any encounter, basically. So you get fucked either way, just not in the way you want to. If the RNG and performance were fixed, this would be 5 stars. It has everything needed to be a great tentacle filled corruption experience with a simple combat system, but it stumbles enough where it just isn't worth it. Try it out for an hour or so if you want to see what the game could've been.

Version Reviewed v1.3.0 TLDR: Half the game is fighting against the UI and the other half is fighting against the RNG. The main problem of this game is the UI. The text is slow with no option for instant or auto-advancing text. The skip button keeps getting reset and you skip things you don't want to skip and it feels like some text can't be skipped. Transitions are very slow and you can't click to skip the transitions. RNG is not necessarily a bad thing, but when you don't give players enough ability to influence the results or options to turn it around, that's what upsets people. In this game you are completely at the mercy of whatever cards you're given. There's no ability in combat to change your luck like discarding, swapping, drawing new cards,... nothing. The content is okay, not great, not bad. As in there's some interesting and niche things like breast expansion and eggs, but they sort of cheaped out on it. For example if she already got creampied, the next creampie you will see the previous cum just disappear and the image is exactly the same. There's no accumulation. When she gets eggs implanted in her and they supposedly grow, there's no visual bulge; just noises and text. Breast expansion just results in squirting and they're back to the normal size. Sometimes there's an animation and other times it's just static images and text. It's all very disappointing. So while fighting with the skip button, waiting for slow UI transitions, and feeling powerless against the RNG; i pretty much rage quit in the second area. I'm giving it a 2 because it's super frustrating to play and the content that's there is not good enough to carry it.

Found this game from the dev's newer game's page and decided to play this one first. Is it perfect? No, but what game is? What it is though is a pretty good use of time if you're looking for a solid corruption game with a variety of scenes and features. Good: Art is pretty great, and it's animated. Feel like a lot of shorter games don't have animation but this one was excellent in that department. A variety of different scenes, poses, and angles. Personally a big fan of x-ray view and this did not disappoint. Sound design is overall solid. The mc's voice was just right, and the sound effects for the actions and events was suitable for the job. Ultimately not a terribly long game, if you focus on beating it you can definitely clear it in an hour or two. Full gallery unlocks after that but tbh it's better to see the scenes in a playthrough. Mediocre: RNG is not everyone's favorite thing and this game really has a lot of that. Save scum is king, and depending on if you're trying to finish the game or finish yourself it can be frustrating. There's only so many music tracks and the same annoying default enemy one starts to grate on you after a while. Bad: The text skip feature is kinda clunky and really isnt very useful in the long run. The UI itself has to reload at every save point which really eats up time. Animation startups, which can be disabled, really do take forever. For what it's worth, definitely worth a play. Not a perfect 10/10 but excellent for what it sets out to be.

It's use quite the Rng, so every experience will come with different frustration, like: "C'mon! That check is BS!" Or "I seen that already, Trigger something new!" Strangely it's an odd kind of the game where the goal is not to fall for corruption but rather to stave away from them, maybe the plathrough of NTR game twist my expectation... I remember going into the game all exited and ready to wreck that fair ivory skin until the player character addressed me directly for help and suddenly it's shifted to: "Ok, I will not let even a scratch on you" That said, it does have the option to turn it off to ease the guilty conscious, but then again the game is hard and won't even progress if all your stat get too low, making her natural decent to corruption kinda hard to experience.

Gameplay: -Point and click game with RNG cards that dictate move, damage, avoiding bad event and more. -Move through 6 areas with varying enemies. -2 hours of gameplay if you are intent on winning. -Never really in danger of losing besides final boss. -Story is "I fell into a hole and need to get out". -Atmosphere of scared/trapped is well done while not being horror. -Bad end and good end exist. Hentai: -Every "enemy" has their own scene. -Most tentacle "tropes" are present. -MC and enemies are fully animated. -Futa and urethral content exists butis avoidable. -Item to always lose is available at start. -Gallery unlocked upon completion. -H-scenes are upon defeat, nothing during battle. -H-events can occur while moving. -Clothing durability degrades over time, but not much in way of outfits (2 outfit total, 3 if you include birthday suit) Worth your time if you like tentacles and nice animations. Not a must play since the gameplay is whatever but good regardless.

Its a suprisingly good game. The gameplay is rather simple but interesting enoth for such a short game. The sex is also made very well plus the art is Good. The only thing i really have to critisise is no tutorial on how the Cards work. Well mind you its really simple but it would have been nice if ther at least ws a short explenation.

Now that's perfect h-game in the see of boring games. The atmosphere of lovecraftian horror is great, there is no comedy. Heroine corruption system is simple yet it progress very smoothly, not too fast, not too slow. The story is kept to minimum. Animations are stellar Looking forward to the next game from thsi dev.

game is simple and straightforward, but it is too short which might be a plus for someone who only wanna see the gallery (or just use save instead lol). it also kinda RNG-dependent on the early game when you haven't got the relic or upgrades (I already got to the boss at earlier version, but it didn't work on the new version, so I use the mod because fck it I'm already full of RNG bs on gacha games). H-scene is good but coz of its short duration the H-scene is not much.

[v1.3.0] Boring, simple yet lacking, slow and not worth your time. Even the gallery that actually has good art, animations and (debatably) okay sound suffers from slow interactions, unnecessary state and menu resets and reloads. This is barely a game , they didn't even give you a proper way to give up- sure you can use the evil items for arousal and mysterious evil (probably gives lowest value cards), but you can't give up, enemies can match and you still need to loose for scenes. Also losing twice in a row is a GAME OVER. Not only have they screwed the losses, they screwed the wins - you have the overpowered rest mechanic- guaranteed to restore a set amount of MP and HP and removes debuffs, rarely gives enemy encounters, but AFTER applying the restoration. Also the fireball and infinite MP from rest makes the the combat irrelevant. The other less than half-assed mechanic are the "souls"- rare equipment you can have only 1 of, have seen only 5 different ones total. Its bad enough to not give it a single pity point.

Reminds me of Sol Rui Mini which is one of my most favorite ero game. It has good artwork and animation, gameplay decent even though it is not really challenging. If it comes with harder mode then this game will be perfect.

Surprisingly a decent game. It's possible to clear through the game in first try if u play carefully, but that aside, most h scenes are from the tentacles winning. The animations are great. Surprisingly great ending music. And I liked the story telling.

version 1.0.0 Pros: Hostile gruesome environments and atmosphere, you trip and fall deep into an underground cave where every wall is made out of flesh and covered in biological fluids. Different tentacle monsters appear here and attack you. H-scenes are fully animated, fully voiced, optionally you can toggle on internal view and futanari, all the scenes are non-consensual (let's be honest, if you are an f95zone user this doesn't bother you). There is actual gameplay - turn based card game where you and the enemy pick a card, the one with the higher number deals damage to the enemy, the diff doesn't matter, only thing that matters is getting a bigger number. By killing enemies you get xp, with xp you level up and gain skill points to increase stats like your chances of getting better cards. There's interactive events where you can get damaged with a disgusting debuff if you don't select a powerful card. You have some options for what to do in between fights - rest and recover, heal, reset cards, remove abnormalities. Save scumming is an option, this can be abused to retry some event/fight to get good RNG eventually after reloading the save. Gallery is unlocked before you even start playing. Cons: All H-scenes are on defeat only, at least if you get defeated you get a second chance in a break free event to recover and continue forward. The usual way to play porn games a.k.a. "get raped by everything for fun and then actually fight and beat the enemies" doesn't work here at all because of the corruption meter - once it fills up it's game over, you gotta start from the beginning, this heavily encourages you to fight as much as possible and avoid getting raped as much as possible until you beat the game. No replayability. You can beat the game in 1h 30m, it's too short. There's mo H-scenes while still in combat, only on defeat. The final boss is ez - use mana potion to get full mana before the fight, spam fireballs to win, he won't even scratch you. Gallery doesn't reveal the interactive events. The performance is kinda wack, you need 2 seconds for the in-game interface to load. This game was so close to receiving the 5/5 from me, but it didn't quite make it. So I rate it a 4/5

Good game with (mostly) good live2d art, now waiting for the full release version with the voice lines, its gonna be nice. Totally digging this, these kind of games are rare. This forum is full of those trash 2d wannabe rpgs. Completely misses the point for me, i dont wanna spend fckn days to finish some retarded (and crappy) h-game, im not that low ok? At least here it gets to the point and no shitty pixel art so thats a bonus.

Why menus are so weird?... Game is working rly bad like Russian car, its hard to start it, hard to drive it, but once it start moving... its moving... barely but somehow. Well there is many types of tentacles but even if You want to lose its really hard to lose... game is almost 100% RNG Based, and when You losing game is giving You more and more better cards i wish i could just see all scenes from this game and not play it at all... Gameplay is boring but its nice to see this girl being fucked. But almost impossible in RNG based game that forces You to win... You get cards and u use them to attack, move and do everything :/...

This game is centered around losing to see sex scene but in many cases forces you to win by shoving nothing but high cards and making the enemy roll like trash. This game literally forces you to not see sex scene due to rng, it has failed as a porn game.

A really fun game, and its enjoying to try to lose by saving low cards. A good diversity of scenes/events/enemies. Definitely far better than the average tentacle game. It's not even v1.0 and people are hating on it.

REVIEW Cage of Tentacles-R 0.8.0 STORY: 2/5. It seemed to be fine but the ending leaves a bitter taste in the mouth. GAMEPLAY: 3/5. Card gameplay with many mechanics, quite satisfying. Although it is quite easy to win. SCENES: 3.5/5. Good scenes, the bad thing is that its difficult to lose and by corrupting you there is no final scene, they only throw you to the title. TRANSLATION: 3.5/5. Some things arent well translated, the text is very small or stands out in some things. Still understandable and enjoyable. CONCLUSION: 3/5. Entertaining game, entertaining but not great. If you have time, you like card mode and you like tentacles it is recommended.

Review for v0.8.0: Pretty solid 3. An interesting way to spend an hour or two. Cons: - Even though it's machine translated, there's still a lot of text that hasn't been translated from Japanese. - Grindy--you'll fight the same mob several times over and probably have to repeat actions like resting or cycling your cards. - No save point or gallery means it's a pain to experience multiple paths. - Even when the scene transitions are being narrated, none of the writing really feels like it's telling a story or concerning itself with the continuity of your current run. Pros: - Some good visuals/animations. - A decent variety of kinks. - The card gamification and other combat mechanics give you something to engage your mind (this may be a con to some).

This is for v0.8.0 The game is WAY too easy. It's basically a lose to win game, but you really have to want to lose to be able to lose. I just finished a playthrough of current content and only came close to losing once and it was purely because of poor RNG on the card draws for a single battle against the strongest enemy in the game. There's also no saving function as far as I could tell, so be prepared to start over if you leave the game I guess. Thankfully, the game is incredibly short if you never lose, so a save function isn't really necessary. Definitely an entertaining way to pass the time, but the degree to which you have to try to lose is insane. If you want to see any content at all, then never level up your abilities, burn all of your good cards, and intentionally play losing cards whenever you get the chance. There is no gallery either, so the only way to see content is to intentionally lose. EDIT: Apparently you keep all of your levels from previous runs when you start over, so definitely don't level anything up if you want to see any content. It apparently only saves run data as long as you don't close the game. I made the mistake of maxing out my luck and strength in the first run so now I don't even know if I can lose even if I try.
