Crimson Dawn is a fantasy RPG made by Reaper/of/the/Dawn using RPGM, with 2D and 3DCG animated visuals. You play Vesper, a male protagonist in a land once peaceful but ruined by a war driven by royal ambition. After the Crimson Dawn massacre killed many, including his sister, he lost trust in people and spent twenty years alone, treating others as tools while searching for the person who ordered the killing. The game uses a sandbox style of play.
The current build is finished, released as v1.2 on July 22, 2025. It is available for Windows, its language is s, and it has no censorship. The latest changelog says v1.2 corrected problems with the player’s starting position and addressed missing or unloaded files. Earlier updates added the final part of the story, music work, a quest menu, story continuation, and various bug fixes.
Developer's description
Once a land of peace and harmony, the world has now plunged into chaos as the ambitions of kings ignited a brutal war. Only ashes remain — burned villages, fallen kingdoms, and countless lost lives. The war reached its darkest hour during the Crimson Dawn — a massacre in which most of the population perished, including the protagonist’s sister. As a teenager, Vesper witnessed the Crimson Dawn with his own eyes. When he called upon his people to rise and resist, no one followed. From that moment, he lost faith in others and became cold, selfish, and emotionally numb. For twenty years, he wandered alone, refusing to form genuine bonds. To him, people were tools — useful or disposable. His only goal: to find the one who ordered the massacre… and make them pay.
