False Heir is a visual novel by MadLenix built in Ren'Py, using 3dcg art and a male protagonist. You play a man whose parents die in a crash, after which their wealthy employer, Richard Blackwood, brings him into his household. The story centers on romance and relationships in a setting of old money, quiet secrets, and choices that shape who the character becomes. Trust is not automatic, and each connection develops at its own pace, with some carrying a heavier price than others.

The current build is v0.1 Prologue, released on October 23, 2026. It is an initial release, with development ongoing. The game runs on Windows, Linux, and Mac, is written in English, and is uncensored. The latest update added the Prologue as the initial release.

After a tragic crash takes your parents, their wealthy employer, Richard Blackwood, takes you under his roof. Overnight, you’re thrown into a world of old money and quiet secrets, where every kindness comes with a price. In this world, nothing is as simple as it looks. Build relationships with the people around you, make choices that shape who you become, and decide who you can trust. Every relationship moves at its own pace, and some of them will cost you more than others.
