Family of Choice is a Ren'Py adult visual novel by Nine Rose Rings, presented with 3D animated scenes. You play a male protagonist returning home after learning of his father’s death. Thirteen years earlier, he left a troubled household and stayed with his cousin and Aunt Magda. Now he reunites with his mother and sisters, meets his father’s widow and her daughter, and uncovers family secrets through choices that shape relationships, identity, and closure. The story explores romance, corruption, and interracial themes while asking whether he will become the head of the household or pursue truth among three families.
The current build is Day1-5, released February 27, 2026, and development is ongoing. It runs on Windows, Linux, and Mac in English and is uncensored. The latest changelog for Day1 and Day2 Version 3 restored the textbox and added Clear, Light, and Dark preference choices for readability. It also fixed a bug that could block the option to visit Hailey after a certain line with Christina, and corrected a repeated Hailey line during a phone call. Earlier Day1 and Day2 updates fixed a crash when speaking to the mother in the evening and introduced the first release.
