About Hypno-Mart

Hypno-Mart is a short visual novel made by Appetite with the Others engine. You play a male shop owner dealing with Airi Kurusu, a stylish blonde-dyed part-timer covering the late shift. She is rude, disrespectful, lazy, and treats customers badly, which makes her seem completely useless despite the chronically understaffed shop. Rather than simply firing her, the owner tries a sketchy internet method called hypnotic suggestion, hoping to change her mind and teach her a lesson. The game presents this premise through a Japanese-style 2D visual novel, with multiple endings and themes of mind control and male domination.

The project is finished, released on April 25, 2023 for Windows in English. It is censored and presents a completed short story built around the shop owner's attempt to use hypnotic suggestion.

Developer's description

A short visual novel about a stylish blonde-dyed part-timer who works the night shift. (I give her a job and this is the thanks I get!) She's covering the late shift part-time, and her name is Airi Kurusu. Spoiler She's rude, disrespectful, and lazy to boot. She treats the customers like trash. She's completely useless as an employee! The shop is chronically understaffed—we need anyone we can get who has two hands and two working brain cells. But at this point I'm not sure she meets our standards. Firing isn't good enough for her. Somebody has got to teach this girl a lesson, and as always, the Internet has a solution. "SUPER EASY! Change hearts and minds NOW with HYPNOTIC SUGGESTION!!!" It might not be the world's most legit-looking link, but I'm just going to fire her anyway. It can't hurt to give it a shot.

I can't save nor quicksave because text in (what I'm presuming to be) Japanese comes up alongside three other different windows and the game freezes up. Unless you know Japanese, I'd suggest avoiding this one.
