Well put together game - based on warhammer 40K. Some sexy scenes, good use of background sound for tone/mood, some interesting lore based on wahammer 40k . Lots of storytelling. and call backs to previous versions - each update is really good. Truly worthy of the Emperor's praise.
Very interesting concept, well executed and very refreshing setting and story compared to most of the rinse and repeat college or family VNs nowadays. I just think the sex scenes could be better. This 4/5 is not because I think anything is bad, it's just that there is room for improvement. It's not a "perfect" game, even in what it's trying to do to give it a 5/5
Review As Of v0.3.1 Just finished all the Crescyt (first city) content and about to embark (heh) on Train Rail content and beyond; there's still a decent chunk of content left to go but after a couple dozen hours or so exploring all the paths PLUS the previous dozen or so hours I've put into a previous playthrough, I think I can make a judgement call here. As the read time implies, I like to take my time with good writing and this game definitely has that in spades. The fact that I've been treating the game as an excellent book instead of a porn VN should tell you all you need to know. "Came for the porn, stayed for the plot" has never been more true for me. The added sound effects are also an excellent accompaniment to the words on screen; and while the artstyle can be summed up as "rough" there are some scenes that are beautiful to look at. As an aside, it's also been pretty great to see how much the existing content got improved (mostly sound effects and improved artstyle) since I last played on v0.2.4 which was around October 2024, more than a year ago. The new (to me) feature to choose all the Facets at once is an awesome feature for players like me who want to tread off their chosen path for a bit but who don't want to do multiple playthroughs. Though as I've mentioned on the thread before, I do wish that we could have taken both paths to solve the soupline's supply problems. I've always been a sucker for mods that allow players to do both paths at once (which is largely solved by the aforementioned ability to choose all Facets at once) and I don't think doing this particular choice at once would really affect the plot all that much; Emperor knows that some redundancy in food supply in the Imperium goes a long way in stopping the disaster dominos that are ever so common in 40K. Now that I've done gushing, time to move on to some minor quibbles of which first and foremost is the porn. If you're looking for a quick fap, this is not the visual novel for you. The porn serves a utilitarian and functional purpose with the sex scenes consisting of a couple of images, no sex sound effects plus text that gets the point across, mostly with one-off women. I mean I definitely appreciate that it's there and wouldn't want it to be completely removed, 40K porn games are a rare sight after all. Personally what writing there is in the sex scenes is enough for me but those looking to quickly bust a nut to a porn game should look elsewhere. There are also minor, and I do mean minor typos here and there that pull me out of the experience somewhat at times but once again the writing is so good it doesn't matter much at all. TL;DR: Disco Elysium in 40K with all the pros and negatives that implies. Porn is basic but does the job. Minor niggling issues like slight typos and inability to choose two paths at once when it makes logical sense. Writing carries this all the way.
A great game, but not for the porn. Writing: 6/5 The most immersive 40k experience I've had, up there with the best of the Black Library's output. The writer is incredible at making you really feel the scale of the empire. Meeting a girl who's entire life is dedicated to tending to a single elevator in a hive city, and who's ancestors did the same for hundreds of years, and seeing how that has twisted her mind was absolutely astounding writing, and that quality continues throughout everything I have seen so far. Smut: 2/5 It's short and fully subordinated to the plot. A man of your position in the empire does not have time for long drawn out set scenes, whether for love or for pleasure. You will generally get a quick scene or two, if you are lucky even some foreplay, and then you move on and never meet that person again. It works great in the context of that story, but it isn't particularly satisfying on its own. I generally prefer the non-AI versions of the porn, which are available via an option in the settings, since the AI versions just feel too clean for the setting. Art: 5/5 Great at properly conveying the atmosphere and scale of the setting, and there are some truly beautiful scenes like the wharf sunset. Music: 5/5 The music felt like it fit every single scene perfectly.
This is truly impressive work. The story is fascinating, the world-building is fantastic, characters are complex and well developed. And the quality of the writing is just off the charts. Completely blows me away at every turn. The setup is also incredible - it reminds me a lot of the Foundation universe, which I love. Hari Seldon is already a long lost memory and civilization is already crumbling while the Galactic Empire collapses all around you. There's this overwhelming sense of melancholy, of deep sorrow for all the things that were lost. This is science fiction at its finest. The sexual encounters you have with the various women, while very well written, seem more like a brief respite among the sadness and ruin than anything. A celebration of life among the sudden death and slow decay, a dirge for the demise of an era. Graphics are specially well done, and they perfectly suit the overall theme and mood. The soundtrack is simply great and, again, fits perfectly the game. Overall, one of the very best games I have ever played, and I played a whole lot of them. Looking forward to the updates.
I really love the artstyle, is so astonishing and I will be glad to follow this project to see what it will become, It is something very promising. Also, the ambience of the music and the lines of dialogue are very good. 10/10
Incredible, every update I'm surprised by the quality of the story and writing. Everything else I've read from this site pales in comparison. The music and art are also beautiful and have so much personality, "Hope and Mourning" really nails the mood. Didn't think I would cry with an AVN. I guess the h-scenes are lacking in comparison to everything else, but at this point I don't care, I'm here for the story.

When the Belt 3 factory door opened, I cried. I don't enjoy indulging about myself but I'm a writer and the quality of the writing is beautiful, so much I hope to one day master it like this. The musical score adds so perfectly to the scenes I don't have words for it. The artstyle fits the vibe of the world, an excellent choice. This isn't just a game, it's art. I'll remember this. IBH is building up to be a masterpiece of an AVN, but it isn't porn. Every bit of the game is in service to the whole. The art, music, characters, vignettes, and setting all work together to paint a bigger picture, the finer details of which you fill in with your choices and traits. Sex is a respite from the slow grinding down of an ancient interstellar empire; sometimes it is more than that, but (alas, this might be sacrilege on a porn site) sex is never even close to all there is. The game is driven by prose well beyond what you are used to in AVNs. The writing is of the caliber of actual, strong novels. It grounds the other elements and propels an appreciative reader forward. Its art style is up-front: just what you see in the promos, nothing prettier. This isn't an unblemished soundstage. It's a lived-in, breathing, creaking planet where the few moments of beauty are earned and more striking for their scarcity. There is a scene where you talk on a wharf while the sun sets. The sky slowly, subtly changes, until it's dark. It's simple, and it is a wonderful moment full of potential. The soundtrack is a pleasant surprise. It is well chosen and builds tone (instead of just filling in the silence). Sometimes, I will just leave the game on and listen to it. Overall, a very fulfilling experience.
When rating this I really had to stop and think for a minute to figure out what to rate it. A lot of people seem to like this game, primarily because of 40k. As a person that is not heavily into 40k, I wasn't biased towards it one way or another. A lot of effort has been put into this game, so it deserves some credit for that. But personally it didn't do much for me. For me the story was rather boring and the "scene's" were rather dull and unchallenging, like you already know if you pick a certain dialog, it will trigger a scene and there is no effort needed to get there. It's almost like the dev says "Oh you want this one?" "yeah yeah, go ahead", "this one too?", "I got you". And the images are kind of take it or leave it, they are not great by any stretch of the imagination. It's always 2 or 3 images like in a slide show and the MC comes inside and it's over. Would only recommend playing if you like reading and 40k. I'm giving it a 3/5 for the effort put into the game. I myself would not play this again. 3/5
A fantastic homage to 40K that explores an oft-neglected part of the setting. The dialogue and decision system is pleasantly varied, the various NPCs well-written and the sex scenes rather sweet. Looking forward to seeing the full release, would love to purchase it if the quality persists.
This is the first porn game to make me care more about the story than the porn. I keep forgetting it is in fact a porn game to the point where the sex scenes are taking me off guard. If the creator of the game ever reads this review, please know that you are a unique talent and any non-nsfw game you make would surely be just as much of a masterpiece. I am honestly blown away. Who cares about jacking off? This writing is fucking fire!!!
I wish this wasn't a porn game so that I could actually recommend it to people. The writing and world building is amazing, in my opinion better than even Disco Elysium, which I have heard greatly credited for both things. It's better as a Warhammer story than most of the trash GW has put out in most year. The art is a little weak, but I really don't care about that and to the degree I do care it's enjoyable. All in all this is probably the best "game" on this site, though there's better porn.
It's pretty rare that I'll find a porn game where I prefer the story to the porn, but God everything about this game just clicks with me so much. Pretty much everything in this game works for me the music, the vibes, the art, the fact that I actually care about the characters even after short interactions. The only think I don't like about this game is that there isn't even more of it yet and that just means I will be watchful and grateful for every future update.

Really good so far. The characters actually resemble real people, unlike most of the other porn games I have played. The art complements the setting and atmosphere really well. Same goes for the soundtrack. Also, I would follow sister Syrene to hell and back.
Amazing game which really puts you in the (not)WH40k universe. Really atmospheric and nails down both the bleakness and some of the silliness of the GrimDark future perfectly. I would play this game even without the porn.
Arguably the best game on this site and truly deserving of 5 stars. Superb writing that exceeds all expectations, great art, great characters, everything was awesome. Probably the only game on this site I would play even without anything nsfw and one of the few games here that made me feel something emotional. Epic. Also I'm not big into 40k but I feel like this game really does it justice and it makes me want to consume more 40k content.
