Japan Trip

The Japanese girls were very nicely done. I also liked the animations, and the option to select between multiple camera angles during each sex scene. I thought this was an awesome feature, that prolonged the sex scenes without having to click through annoying dialogue. Unfortunately, the story was meh, and I found the mini games before each sex scene painful and a waste. Also, there were no Asian male models, which was odd, considering this takes place in Japan. It really stood out in a scene where a "Japanese man" confronted the MC and he was white. Only worth it If you like to see pretty Asian woman having sex.. Fortunately for me, I love Japan, and Asian woman.

Weeb: the game. You are a white guy with no discernable personality who flies to Japan where every girl is so impressed by your command of the Japanese language they immediately want to jump on your dick. OK, so this is a porn game and fulfilling unrealistic fantasies is kind of the whole point, but the game shows so little interest in its characters that they are all just minor variants on the same mindless sex doll. The ones who don't jump you after a single bland conversation may as well have. Most character development happens in narration. You're told you grow closer to your work-mate until she finally asks you to move in with her, but that happens off-screen. You're told this is the shy one but if she is, she only shows it off-screen. You're told this one is the party girl but if she is, it all happens off-screen The most developed character in the game (including the MC) is the one other male character who shows up for a single scene to give you his utterly irrelevant backstory, and tell you how much Japanese women really love banging white guys they barely know. Normally I'd give a game like this -- competent production, basement tier writing -- two and a half stars rounded up to three. But Japan Trip loses the half star by putting a (mercifully skippable) mini-game in front of every sex scene.

I tried to play but i didn't go far. The plot is as flat and generic as it can be. Maybe i'm trite but to see an american dude in his late 20s that lives with parent and then moves to japan where everyone is open and friendly and work culture is extremely relaxed sounds like the very opposite of reality. The narration and dialogs where so... boring and pointles and devoid of logic that my brain started to bleed. I found the tanks minigame fun and the ladies are cute but overall... terrible experience.

[...] multiple endings [...] I grinded, yes grinded, my way to one of those and that was enough for me... . Visually, it's okay; the animations are okay. But, ultimately, average. The narration is where it bares its soul - or should I say, lack there-of. Ugh, what I mean is soulless. Bereft of life. But, it exists, so maybe I should just say - inhuman. Overly verbose, with weird nuanced illogic, excessive exposition for a VN (and overly objective) - I can only conclude is AI assisted... It ain't there, yet. Okay:- Even with its fast-paced, silted and dry, lifeless storytelling I can bet you'll ----- yawn along, with multiple endings, if you fancy that trip.
