REALLY GOOD so far. The scenes are hot and well done. If you like the art style of the game, which is at least something we haven't seen countless times before, you will have a great time playing it. I like the tease and how every scene gets hotter and hotter the more you progress. Now, there are only two cons for the most part. First, the English is not very good. There are a lot of grammar issues, tbh, but that's something that can easily be improved. And second, the grind/repetitive events. BUT, this isn't really a problem because it's part of the game's design and daily cycle. The developer knows that and gives you, RIGHT AT THE START, the hint to turn on the right skip functions within the game’s settings. So this "problem", if you will, isn't really existent—JUST DO AS THE DEVELOPER SAYS and TURN ON the two options, and you are good to go. Furthermore, there is an overview of your progression in the game (when you go to sleep), and new scenes are highlighted as well. So I really see no reason to blame the game for something that has already been taken care of by the developer himself. Long story short, this leaves only the English as a negative, which can be ironed out easily. And while I really enjoyed the game itself, I can give the benefit of the doubt and hand out 5 stars. Well done!
Art: Different from many other games, a bit jumpy at times. but you can see all the work they put in. Plus the models feel more real then other artwork out of there, as if they could be real people. Writing: Overall lots of little spelling errors that could be corrected. A pass through is needed to improve and fix the writing. Story: Nothing grounbreaking, but it's a good plot. Plus its not super grindy, action keeps moving and its easy to skip areas that you've already seen.
Quite nice and refreshing experience from a graphic perspective - I mean, when I first saw it, I've never thought I would try to play but here I am. And it feels good. Step-by-step scenes progression when you can savour those details put with no rush or need to rewind back. Thank you, dev!
version reviewed 25.1 What can I say. The English translation is so bad that it's actually funny. What happened to spell check or proof reading? Sure, some might like the unique looking character models but I personally cannot play through a game with grammatical errors every 3rd or 4th word. Hey, if you can deal with the awful translation you might get a kick out of this game. Dev, if you know anyone who speaks English do yourself a favor and get the English translation cleaned up. Also, it should be "Jimmy's", not Jimmy Awkward Adventures. The game says it best- "Holly crap!"
Updates are slow, and when they are released, there's little content. Sex scenes lack attention! The characters don't have any body shakes, which is noticeable in the only sex scene they have! The main character is completely trapped in following what's being dictated; he has no, let's say, "freedom"! I'll keep an eye on the other updates, and if it improves, I'll improve the game's ratings! Plus points for the graphics! But we need to feel like the characters are living people, not just images that move like robots!
I don't normally like VNs but thought I'd try because I like the art style, that being said I was pleasantly surprised. On the bad side, the story is simple and very repetitive but the art style and the excellent animation outweigh the bad. Much more entertaining than the 3D art we see on almost ever game these days
I want to give this game more of a rating because it has a unique art style, but it really sucks as a game. It's a Pandemic Quarantine game. You're some jackass stuck inside a boring house with some slutty bitches. You do some chores and are nice to them and eventually it becomes sex. It works fine for a smut premise, because you've probably seen it before. The problem is the hare brained design decision of making the player repeat scenes ad naseum until every bit of tittilation, pacing and tension evaporate. It actually advises you to go into the settings and turn on the settings that let you skip previously viewed scenes because it plays them every single time . Why? Why not change the previously viewed scene to a truncated version after it plays once? Why waste this time? The real issue is once I'm skipping, I don't stop. After sitting through the same shit I turned on the skip Unseen Scenes option and started cruising. At this point I'm checked out, just sticking around hoping to get to the good stuff. As for the aesthetics, it's almost good, but it lands on a slightly uncanny cartoony style. Everybody's face is a bit too long, borderline horsey. The texture colors sometimes feel like mismatched or garish. The setting consists of two really minimalist, boring domestic places. I can tell the creator really cares about this, but damn, this is a 2015 AVN trying to pass off as a post-pandemic thing. It just doesn't cut it.
Again. Has a very unique look that reminds me of older games that I used to play, the cartoonish look actually works very well. And honestly I had Fun, few laughs and some naughty fun. I recommend it. I will be watching this one for sure.
(Review of 0.20.1) I don't like the concept of repeating events over and over introducing some changes here and there like we're playing Groundhog Day, but the cartoons and especially some facial expressions are funny. If you were to remove all the stuff that is repeated the entire gameplay would last for 10 mins, as it is it lasts about the same anyway because you're likely to start skipping, stopping only when a new event appears until eventually nothing new is left. A matter of the glass being half full or half empty - funny, but probably flawed by design.
So far the game is going in a good direction. Graphics style is quite unique and very original. I loved it. The game mechanics are also quite well done. This is looking to be a very good game, if the dev continues. Nice work Dev.
I obviously dont want to diss the self-proclaimed best game reviewer of F95 below; but sadly that review is as deluded as the game presently. English is not the only language (although site rules specify things should be in English, with added translations provided), but this is one of the worst examples of God-awful and lazy translations I've ever seen, and as for grammatical context - forget it, Gramma died in the making of this game. Grind? Who mentioned grind? Its an alpha early build numbered bizarely at 16-8, but lets make credit where its due, it's early - but OMFG, the EXACT same events and scenes every day already for a one scene change, is extremely bad. Characters - Fugly doesnt begin to cover it. Story - a pandemic (yawn - remember those lockdown lies we were told?), ok, fair enough, but for the minimal reference to such, we still seem to be shipping ppl in?? Isn't that kinda contradictory? Animations. Yes.......really? Ok I'll believe you, Peter Crouch was more believeable with his crap goal celebrations Right now, the Engrish kills it dead, with plenty of support just in case for many other elements Is it redeemable? Possibly, with a lot of attention, rather than chucking out content, which the Dev seems to be more focussed on. Up to the Dev, one star is generous (if preset by the site)
good game. currently not much content {0.7} but worth your time for some different approach. there are plenty of hiccups here and there as mentioned by multiple people but developer seems to be active one with taking criticism in positive manner.
A very positive game, you look and smile. Unusual characters do not irritate but make you smile. In general, the game should probably be like this. Clear, simple and fun. Without ambiguous choices and multi-move combinations. The graphics are at a high level, although a little unusual; the behavior and reactions of the main character are motivated and understandable, without far-fetchedness and exaggeration. To the author of inspiration Let's wait for the continuation.
Jimmy Awkward Adventures 0.12 DIALOG The dialog isn't the greatest. All the dialog consists of very short sentences. It's like the MC isn't capable of stringing together more than five words at a time. The following are just examples of the first minute of dialog, up until the MC does some laundry. Even though the MC just got out of college, and even though he looks like 12 year old, he often uses words and phrases that sound more like something a 6-8 year old would say. Like "pandemy" instead of "pandemic" and "coffy" instead of "coffee". Words are misspelled. "collage" should be "college". Sometimes the mom is "Marry". Sometimes she is "Merry". Make up your mind! "Everyday is exactly the same." should be "Every day is exactly the same." "She is an online lecturer and do some wierd cosplays." should be "She is an online lecturer and does some weird cosplay." "Oh and these must belong to youngest roommate who is a chilreeder at collage." should be "Oh, and these must belong to my youngest roommate who is a cheerleader at college." Capitalization of the first letter of words is often inconsistent or wrong. "No job... No girlfriend... no father..." should be "No job... no girlfriend... no father". Sometimes the dev uses "click!", other times he uses "Click." Make up your mind. Is it "click" or "Click"? "Although She is damn sexy!" should be "Although she is damn sexy!" Other grammar mistakes like no punctuation or spaces. "Ofcourse I want to sleep more" should be "Of course I want to sleep more." None of his options have punctuation or periods at the end. "thats the owner of the house." should be "that's the owner of the house." "Now lets move on with the day." should be "Now let's move on with the day." "If you havent yet meet them than you will." should be "If you haven't met them yet, then you will". "Thats done" should be "That's done". Other mistakes. "so you can do here anything you like." should be "so you can do anything here you like." Mom says "It is your room, so you can do here anything you like..." and then suddenly it is the Son saying "But..." "Tidiness is a good..." "Oh...". I think the dev meant for the mom to be saying all of that but he put the wrong character's name above the dialog. And then it doesn't even make sense. Tell me, does "But.. tidiness is a good... manner" make any sense at all? Maybe he meant "But tidiness is good manners" or "But tidiness is a good thing"? Dev mentions "cloth store". Does he mean "cloth store" or "clothing store"? When narrating a sound or thought, the font should be in italics and not regular font. But yeah, the entire game has very short, mediocre, and painful to read dialog with way too many mistakes. The dev should just write his dialog and then have a native English speaker use the original dialog as a guideline, but expand on it, make the dialog longer and more interesting, and fix all the grammar and spelling mistakes. CHOICES Basically the MC narrates to himself in extremely short sentences and then he asks himself what he should do and then it's just an one option choice - a single chore. It makes for a very boring game when the dialog is so simple, boring, and infantile and then it is just single choice chores. MODELS Good. RENDERS Good. CONTENT Piss poor content. After so many updates and releases, there is nothing worth downloading and playing this game for. Oh, and no sex. The dialog and choices are so horrible that after the MC took a shower, I had no choice but to hold the CTRL button and skip through the game really fast to maintain my sanity. Just like I did the last two times that I downloaded and attempted to play this game, versions 0.1 and 0.7. I can't play this game. It's sad, because the models and renders and the incest theme are good. But everything else is bad. I won't ever download this game again.
Nice premise and interesting artwork, but there is no storyline development or sexual content. The loop of chores being done and the repetition of the scenes is taxing for players. Looking forward to the next updates where they flesh it out. Otherwise, it won't be play-worthy.
There's a certain threshold I expect from devs, even from their very first release - this doesn't hold up. In my opinion, the only thing the game has going for itself is the art style. Unfortunately, everything else does not meet the bare minimum for a game in today's day and age. The script is sloppy and feels like it's written by an elementary student. It tries to be a game where options matters - get rid of choices when there are none (90% of the prompts). The renders are passable at best Don't play the current (v0.01) version, it's a waste of time - even if you're looking to give feedback. It's a solid 1* for me currently, the only redeeming factor is the "landlady"
