Living in a Brothel is an adult Ren'Py visual novel by Mastur Bar, presented with animated 3DCG art. You play a 23-year-old unemployed man living with his landlady, Priscilla, and take a job from her friend Beatrice. The bar turns out to be a brothel, so your work involves managing the venue, handling customers, and helping train the girls. The game emphasizes management, sandbox, and cosplay themes.
The current build is v0.4.1, released on March 3, 2025, and development is ongoing. It is available for Windows, Linux, Mac, and Android, in English, with no censorship. The latest changelog notes a remake of a customer scene, fixing female nail renders and animations. It also changes the gamepad A button to behave like the left mouse button, letting Steam players drag and collect Secret Cards from posters, and fixes gallery thumbnails showing the wrong image.
Developer's description
You're a 23 years old young man who lives in Priscilla's house, your landlady.
You're an unemployed and you just wants to play video games all day, so you don't pay your rent.
Luckily, Priscilla is very fond of your parents and allows you to continue living in her house anyway.
Spoiler
One day, Beatrice, Priscilla's friend, pays a visit and tells her that she's opening a bar.
Priscilla, taking the opportunity, asks if she would have a job for you there, that way you wouldn't have any more excuses for not paying the rent.
Beatrice says yes, there's a job for you at her bar so you're not an unemployed man anymore!
On the way to the bar, Beatrice reveals that you'll be the manager. What you didn't know is that the bar is just a disguise and actually what Beatrice is opening is a brothel.
Among your roles, you will have to: help Beatrice with the decoration of the brothel, be the bartender, be nice to customers, break up fights between customers, take pictures of the girls, create a website to attract new customers and, the best role among all, having sex with the girls to teach them how to treat clients.
You'll certainly have a lot of work managing the brothel, but we hope it'll be a very rewarding experience, especially when you're "training" the girls.

Automatic New Clothes:

Way to unlock Gallery Images updated:
13 Gallery Images that were previously automatically unlocked in bulk are now unlocked via Secret Cards or through the main storyline, one by one.
Jackpot Animation:
When you hit a Jackpot in the Slot Machine Minigame, an animation is played along with the previously existing sound effect from now on.
Performance Boost:
We have optimized the use of cache memory and RAM, ensuring a significant performance gain. On the other hand, the game's RAM usage has increased and, consequently, the required specifications.
This has resulted in faster loading of game files, which can be especially noticeable in animations, which now run smoothly. You'll also notice that the game will respond more quickly to your inputs from now on.

Committed Reader Achievement:
We've reduced the percentage of script that must be read to unlock this achievement from 95% to 90%.
This achievement was harder to unlock than we planned, so we've adjusted the requirements to make it easier for players to reach.
Diagonal Jackpots:
From now on, when you manage to line up 3 "7s" or 3 "BARs" diagonally in the Slot Machine Minigame, it'll count as a Jackpot.
We initially decided to only count a Jackpot when you lined up 3 "7s" or 3 "BARs" in the center, as we wanted this to be a hard achievement to unlock, but we felt that the difficulty was higher than we had planned.
This change should make it easier to unlock the Jackpot achievement, while still keeping it sufficiently challenging.
Bug Fixes:
Fixed a bug where "The Curious Girl" scene was unlocked in the Replay section before being completed during gameplay.
Fixed a bug where, in specific situations, character icons would not load during mobile conversations, messing up the layout, and consequently, it was not possible to read them properly.
