Lord of the Shattered Lands

The game is high-quality and unusual in its style. The characters are diverse and attractive, especially the Viking girl. There's not much content in version 0.2, but it's still an interesting start. I hope to continue.

Version 0.2 The models and the scenery are really well made. I find myself looking at the backgrounds and the characters are really pretty. From here i hope the story gets developed. A good start but quality of life things like "end of content" message would be nice...

Pretty regular isekai/fantasy premise where you're the chosen one, but sadly this seems to be more of a kinetic presentation rather than a novel. Stuff just happens with little build up or lingering on what should be plot points that deserve some consideration. Even the sex scenes just 'happen'. For a 0.1, there's a lot of work that still needs to be done to make this feel cohesive and coherent.

This is just an initial, 0.1, so it's got a long way to go before we know but so far... Story - Lacking. So far it's all far too fast paced and things are happening without any sense or reason. It's completely lacking depth, and honestly the sex happened so fast I'd just feel a bit confused and abused in that situation. Needs some serious work. The general premise has some mileage but the whole isekei thing is totally unneccessary and lends nothing but a lack of depth to it. Characters - Also lacking. The MC is as bland as magnolia paint. I was quite happy he got hit by the truck as his thoughts were so inane and annoying. So he could do with a personality. The rest are also quite 2D, I'm big so I rob people, now I'm drunk so I'll immediately fuck you. Must follow the master. Funny but 2D. Also the whole immediate sex thing totally misses out on any chance for intimacy as it just appears they'll shag anything within reach at any given opportunity. To be fair, Mr Magnolia doesn't exactly have any charm to use so, maybe that's the only way he can get any, for them all to just be massive whores. But personally I find that really off putting as again, it lacks depth and any chance of actually caring about them or the relationship. Visuals - Mostly brilliant. The giant redhead is perfection, almost at least, I prefer blue eyes with orange hair over green, it looks better, opposites and all that. Which isn't really even a gripe. The Gobbo's are cute too. The blonde is a little too doll like, not realistic at all. The scenery is mostly good and sometimes a little fake looking. The MC is... not the best, firstly why is it always the most vanilla looking, boring, white manchild as the protag? I can neither relate, nor want to. He looks like a plastic doll, definitely needs a different model for the MC or at the very least something to make him more interesting. Give him a tan at the very least, to make it look like he's actually stepped outside a basement once in his life... Or go full redhead if you want him to be uber pale, that's fine, anything but vanilla pudding. But yeah, overall they're great and the animations are great too, nice smooth motion and it's realistic to boot, but some more angles would be nice. Sound - Not bad. Not great. Dialogue - Good Whilst it's jarring because of the silly pace etc. it's good, clear and well done. It's just missing the whole, making sense part. But it's got a nice west country feel to accents coming through, so in terms of actual dialogue, well done.

VERSION: 0.1 TLDR: Read the review, but basically its good, bit too sudden, everything just happens, which feels more like a story from a cartoon. Lots of potential, still to early to tell. PROS: Models, scenes and world look very good. Some models do need a little work though IMO (see Cons) Animations seen so far are very good. Writing is good, structured well Story seems interesting, simple enough, but not done too many times to call dull, not like the whole college freshmen plot. CONS: MC model looks bit like a SIMS character, I am not a fan, lighting also makes him look dull and smooth like made of wax. I prefer more realistic characters and lighting. When it comes to male MC I also prefer someone with a little more scruff, masculinity and maturity and not a face like a pre-teen...no stubble, shade of hair on the face, single hair on the chest? Come on... Spoiler: Small Spoiler The MCs acceptance getting off the slab to the world and whats going on is a bit too easy and I call BS right there. Having the MC act more natural would have been better. The writer creates a character that is seemingly "in the real world" but then ends up in a fantasy one and is totally unphased...right... Rushed, scenes just happen, almost randomly. There is no build up, anticipation or challenge to the MC, all females are just sex starved. Random stuff are already happening, so random sex on top of that without any context is just jarring. Game feels more like an adventure and the adult aspect is just a tiny unnoticeable part of it, which doesnt "do it for me". TAGS so far are very vanilla and being a kinky bastard myself I prefer these games push a bit more into the less ordinary (at least optionally) SUMMARY: I would give this 4.5 because it is really very good for a start and potential is high. Some work on the MC model and models in general to give them a little more realistic look would go a long way. Personally this game has so much potential I would have spent a little more time fleshing things out. Devil in the datails and all that... Right now its all rushed and characters are not given enough time to develop, not sure why the developer is driving the game forward at the pace they are...maybe it will be a long game and is all explained later or as the game develops...hopefully that is the case!

Wow, this is off to a really great start. The character models are amazing(Eira and Aunty Eve are just perfect), I found myself admiring the background scenery every now and then and the writing is also top tier (Fantasy isekai but not the usual juvenile-ish anime type). The sexy bits are also animated pretty fluidly which is a plus and the only downside here is that it's still an early version. I have really high hopes for this and I'm eagerly looking forward to the next release.
