About Mauri's Quest

Mauri's Quest is a fantasy adventure by Sylent Lytening, built in Ren'Py with animated 3D CGI art. You play a skilled wizard who helps Mauri search for her missing father while trying to repair troubled events across the realm. The game gives an open world feel, letting you choose where to travel, take side quests, and recruit companions. Choices shape later options and endings, with corruption and multiple endings possible, and poor decisions can lead to failure.

The current build is 0.1c, still in development. It came out on December 13, 2022 for Windows, Linux, and Mac, in English, uncensored. The latest update removed potions, focused on Dark Aura, changed dining hall behavior, kept decision art visible, and added a choice for how a prisoner scene ends; a fresh game start is required. Earlier changes included a major v0.1 overhaul with new style, animated scenes, renders, locations, characters, dialog, and failure scenarios, plus a v0.1b conversation fix.

Developer's description

In Mauri's Quest, you are a skilled wizard who has befriended Mauri and vowed to help her on her quest to find her missing father and hopefully set right the ill-fated events that plague the realm. While assisting Mauri, you will have many adventurous some dangerous, some amorous, some may be both. Spoiler This is a not a visual novel where you travel the same path as every other player. Mauri's quest has a little more of an open world feel, allowing you to pick where you will travel. You have one main quest, Mauri's quest, that you must complete to successfully complete the game. However, there will also be side quests that you can choose to accept or not. You will pick up companions on your way that can help you follow the path of the righteous or may lead you down a darker path. Your decisions will have a great effect on the options available to you later in the game, including how the game will end. Making bad decisions can lead to some interesting scenarios, but making too many wrong decisions can cause you to lose the game.
