About Max in the Big City
Max in the Big City is a Ren'Py visual novel made by Drakus, presented with 3D CG artwork. You play Max, a young man from a tiny village where almost everyone is elderly except him and his sister, Missy. His parents remain at home while he finally leaves for the city to study, only to be turned away by school. The story follows his attempts to survive urban life, choose between romance and vice, and decide whether to return to his old home. The gameplay is a sandbox-style adult narrative with corruption, netorare, and voyeurism.
The current build is v1.15, dated February 15, 2024, with development continuing. It runs on Windows, Linux, Mac, and Android in English, without censorship. The changelog records earlier changes, including a store that appears once Missy’s corruption passes 84, along with prompts to visit Missy, Rita, and Alice after purchases. Another update tied plot progress to raising Missy’s corruption to 80 and improving the relationship with Alice’s mother to 5. A prior patch opened a new location after reaching set corruption levels for Missy, Rita, and Alice, then required speaking with Alice at her house.
Developer's description
The main hero’s name is Max. He has a mother, a father and a younger sister. He’s lived all his life in a small village. He has never left it. Spoiler Except for Max and his sister Missy, there’re no young people in the village. Most of the inhabitants are old people. Finally, the long-awaited day has come for Max, when he leaves for the city to study. But he isn’t accepted to school. Will the country boy be able to survive in a big city? Maybe he will find love or will he steep in vice? Maybe he will come back to the village?
