About My Life as a Cult Leader

My Life as a Cult Leader is an adult game by Orcsoft, built with the Others engine and presented in a 2D art style. You play a man who loses his job, is evicted from his apartment, and ends up on a cold park bench with nothing. A mysterious woman named Shima Itsuki approaches and asks him to become the substitute leader of a cult because the current leader is dying. With no other options, he accepts, then discovers what kind of organization he has joined. The game features a male protagonist and includes harem and mind control themes.

The final release came out on March 25, 2023, so development is finished. It runs on Windows in English and is uncensored. It is also a Japanese game, with the same 2D presentation used for its adult content.

Developer's description

When a terrible turn of events causes you to lose your job and get evicted from your apartment, you're left with nothing to your name. You find yourself on a cold park bench, miserable and exhausted with nowhere else to turn. As you curse your fate, dark thoughts cloud your mind, wishing things would turn out differently. Suddenly, a mysterious woman approaches you, introducing herself as Shima Itsuki and asking you to take over as the new leader of a cult. She explains that their current leader is dying and needs you to act as a substitute. With nothing to lose and an empty stomach to fill, you decide to take her up on her offer, but who would've guessed the sort of cult you'd end up leading...

Very decent AVN. MC was a jobless ppl wandering around the park, then a strange but beautiful woman found him. Wants him to become the cult leader, and he agrees. I particularly like this kind of corruption/harem plot.

The game has a pretty decent story, and I liked the time travel / repeating element, as a big long game this could have been an amazing story but here it is okay too. The characters are alright, I liked…

Very average visual novel. Like, I cannot begin to describe how average it was to me. I was hoping for some sort of management thing or something, like where we try to make our cult 'great again' (xD), but nope…
