Near To Ruin

Unfortunately, a mediocre start. The graphics are a bit too grainy and washed out. The FMC is quite nicely drawn—if you overlook her breasts, that is. They are large and sagging; that could use some improvement. From the designer, mind you—she doesn't have to run off to a plastic surgeon just yet. The mini-game is nonsensical. You just click on one of two buttons until a third one appears. And the stats that your clicks are supposed to influence rise one moment and fall the next—yet you just keep mindlessly clicking that same button. You can't even quit the mini-game once it starts. If this kind of game logic turns out to be the standard for the rest of the game, then we're in for a rough ride. The dialogue is extremely cliché-ridden and seems to have simply been cribbed from a few other games. In my opinion, this project needs several hours of quality revision before work begins on the next story update.

v0.1 reviewed A young couple visits a spa on their holiday. There, the female MC meets a dirty old man in the sauna, which leads to a frustrating mini-game. Pros: 1- The female MC is quite cute. 2- Nice set design. 3- The character models, although quite bland in detail, have a unique charm about them. 4- It looks like it will be a corruption/ cuckhold/ NTR type game, so buckle up. Cons: 1- The writing is mediocre at best. Too often, the dialogue ends abruptly, forcing you to mouse-click to finish the message. I'm not sure if this was done intentionally to drag out the game, but it's not necessary and looks poor. Only do this to increase tension or to make a point. Simple phrases do not need to be dragged out. 2- It's a WIP and very little actually works. 3- It appears that certain scenes will force you to play a very clunky mini-game. This was by far the worst part of the game. Final verdict- Needs improvement For a first attempt, it shows promise. I liked the art style, the female character, and the theme. However, I did not care for the mini game at all. I would suggest trashing it if it can not be improved. Perhaps use dialogue options to trigger progress, rather than clicking on two buttons. I would also suggest getting help with the dialogue, as it lacks the quality required to titillate one's senses. The hand job dialogue was very weak. Overall, a nice first effort.
