In N.i.P. (Short for Nal in Peril), you play as an Avali named Nal who has to make their way off of a ship infested with parasitic tentacled lifeforms that seem undeterred by a lack of willingness. The second half of the game turns more towards a diverse range of things, though mainly featuring hypnosis as Nal further fights to escape the creeping claws of lust threatening to grip them forever in its embrace. IN ORDER TO EXPERIENCE THIS GAME TO ITS FULLEST, IT IS RECOMMENDED TO DOWNLOAD GARGOYLE, SEE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR MORE DETAILS!

V1.5.4a -Fixed a bug with the corruption route. V1.5.4 - 6 new areas, with 16 new enemies between them to encounter - nearly tripling the size of the game! - Two endings that should hopefully suffice to provide people an acceptable resolution to things (a 'good' and 'bad' ending, currently). - Numerous bugfixes that were preventing certain areas from being accessed in what is now the first half of the game. - The game now features Orassans , with permission provided by their creator to their inclusion. - Tweaked leveling ever so slightly. - A secret 'corruption' system for the new area, tied to being able to earn the 'bad' end. - Due to the choices I've made with the new areas, Gargoyle is now a hard requirement. While it is still possible to use the packaged player, graphics are vital for understanding how to navigate some of the new areas. V1.4 - Added unique text to most enemies, allowing them all individualized text for hits, attacks, etc. - Bug fixes. V1.0.3 - Concept art for all enemies, as well as Nal. - Balance changes. - Misc fixes. V1.0.2 - Ability to escape from combat, with a small chance of failure. It should spit you back out in the room before the encounter, so that is WAI. For example if you move from floor 1, to floor 2, and then get an encounter on the way to floor 3 - escaping should then put you in room 1. - Minor typos and fixes. - Slightly reduced the amount of exp needed to level up. V1.0.11 - Every floor now has new descriptions for each room, including interactive points in said rooms. - Every secret now has a much more involved description. - The first three decks each have a new room each. - New mechanic to let you see the map of the room you are in (requires Gargoyle, includes map graphics). - Multiple minor changes to the text. V0.9.51 - Bugfix V0.9.5 - A new (not so basic) enemy that can appear in the science area in place of the seeder. This enemy contains a special after-battle scene if you happen to end the battle poisoned, which its attacks are now centered around. - Added a dark mode thanks to Dryad Quest Dev that is also able to be toggled on and off at will. - Changed some text around in certain areas. - Fixed some background stuff to hopefully make the game run a bit more smoothly. V0.9.1 - A new (fairly basic) enemy that can appear in the starting area. This enemy is completely designed to try to grapple the player rather than attack regularly, so should also let folks experience getting grappled far more easily early on. - Fixed an issue where getting defeated would have the text show up twice. V0.8.952 - Hyperlink pointers now work for the secrets. - Optional secret bosses now remain dead. V0.8.951 - Grapples are fixed definitely, 100% this time. V0.8.95 - Same changes as before, but better. - Some small balance tweaks. V0.8.945 - Grapples now work correctly. - Changed notifications to make distinguishing bosses and the secret optional areas easier. V0.8.94 - More bugfixes with directional markers. V0.8.935 - For some reason, despite using the exact same coding format as the rooms for deck A, the floors for the rest of the decks were not connecting properly. That should be resolved now. This was done using a rather brutish and not very clean method, so stick to the hyperlinked buttons please! - Hopefully fixed an issue with the secrets not being able to be unlocked. - Fixed a few minor issues with typos and directional markers being labeled incorrectly. - Added codes for various things (BUGGED - Adds 200 EXP, SECRET1 - Unlocks secret 1, SECRET2 - Unlocks secret 2, SECRET3 - Unlocks secret 3. Secret codes transport you to their rooms, and mark the nests as clear but DO NOT mark the bosses as cleared.) V0.8.9 – Initial Release

the game is rather good quality... yeah its got rough area's as of this message, but the writing is good and unlike a lot of games ive played of this type its got something i've dearly wanted while playing them, a map. its also got graphics support no clue how limited but it is nice to see some pictures eh? the encounter rate can be kinda high but the combat is simple enough that unless your under leveled for the area you can just spam the attack link and maybe win. my only gripe is with two foes the kobold and the stun slug i forget the name of, loosing due to stunlock really stings but it does liven up the combat a bit when foes have a small gimmick so i say it helps a bit more then it hurts.

This game has a potential to be good, but right now it's pretty barebones. (I've played for only about 10 min, and abandoned it cause I got bored. If the game is the same going further than the begining, then it's 1 star, but since I don't have all the time in the world to keep grinding I decided not to be so harsh. If any of you are so bored or interested in this game for some reason, then feel free to correct me with a different review. For the few people who will give it a shot, my tip would be to use save edit online or Cheat Engine to raise your stats, cause the grind is very boring and not rewarding at all, you won't lose anything with this, it's not like this game has any challenge to it) Combat is fairly simple and repetetive, pretty much just pressing attack until the enemy is dead. It's okay, but what pissed me off, is the grind you have to do to progress. So for about 5 minutes you have to just jump between two 'safe' locations, hoping to trigger a random appearing enemy to earn a little bit of exp and level up. Without leveling up it's nearly impossible to progress, the first appearing enemy just randomly dodges your attacks or they deal 1 dmg instead of 4, so it makes the game really grindy, without giving you any content. There is no graphics, and that's ok, but it's sad that the game, as far as I progressed, doesn't give you any scenes or ways to smut if you win, only if you lose. So I would recommend staying away from this game until it grows some content or a complete change of it's linear and grindy mechanics. UPD Having read the dev notes at the bottom, it seems that this game is finished and is more of a code practice for the dev and they don't want to add or change anything fundamentally, so yeah... good luck, I guess.
