About Nozokibeya (Look Down Room)

Nozokibeya (Look Down Room) is a kinetic visual novel by YOUKAITAMANOKOSHI, built with the Others engine and shown in a 2D CG style. You play a divorced man who works late and finds meaning in caring for his beloved daughter. His home life gives him comfort, but one night after drinking he visits the Nozokibeya whore house. There he sees a girl who looks strikingly like her. The story becomes a devastating revelation about voyeurism and family ties, with themes including a male protagonist and netorare.

Development is finished in the V1.00 release from May 1, 2015. The current build runs on Windows in English, and the content is censored. The latest changelog states that this release includes the V3 translation patch applied.

Developer's description

I worked late every night. But it was not terrible. My boss never praised me. But I was not unfulfilled. I did it for my beloved daughter... I was divorced some fifteen, twenty years ago. My wife was gone. But I was not lonely. She left a gift. Each night I came home to her wonderful cooking. Each morning she greeted me with a smile as warm as the sun. She was my everything. For her I would move mountains. My sweet, cherished, beloved, wonderful daughter. But one day after work, we went drinking, and I came to Nozokibeya, a whore house. There I saw a girl who looked shockingly like my daughter. It couldn't be her. It couldn't be. It... couldn't... be... That was the day my happiness crumbled.
