About NTR2069

NTR2069 is a 2D animated Unity action platformer from Halasto, presented as a Japanese-style visual game. You play Hiroshi, a detective whose body became machine-like after an accident, leaving his humanity uncertain. Matsurin, his lover and coworker, is what keeps him connected to reality. When a gang leader called Jester abducts her and starts a deadly game, Hiroshi moves through a neon, rain-soaked urban underworld of corporate towers, gangs, and rogue AIs to find her and the truth. The story touches on cheating and combat, while the art uses animated 2D CG presentation.

The current build is v1.0, a released version issued on September 19, 2025. It is available on Windows and supports English and Japanese. Adult content is censored with mosaics.

Developer's description

Hiroshi was a dedicated detective. However, after a certain accident, his body transformed into a machine, even threatening his very humanity. The only thing keeping him grounded in reality was Matsurin—his lover and colleague. But one day, a mad gang boss calling himself “Jester” kidnapped Matsurin and began a deadly game. To save her, Hiroshi throws himself into the neon-lit, rain-soaked city, and into the deepest shadows of the urban underworld. In this city where corporate towers pierce the smog and gangs and rogue AIs rule the darkness, Hiroshi leaps, runs, and fights his way forward—closing in on the truth, and on the woman he loves.

The game's strengths lie in its art style and premise. Rather than weaknesses, these are shortcomings. The story's development doesn't justify the playtime; you spend five minutes platforming and then get a cutscene that doesn't feel like a reward commensurate…

NTR2069 [v1.0] While slogging through the hours of poorly-meshed sub-mid platforming I suddenly wondered if the guns being used were PPGs from Babylon 5. When the most an NTR game can provoke is nostalgia over an uninvolved 30 year old…
