There are already many compliments given to this game, that I wholeheartedly concur with. So instead of parroting what has been said before, allow me to add a few compliments that I haven't read so often. + using tropes but then going deep : At first sight, Mina seems like a ditzy socialite who's too timid for her own good, and Hana the badass loner that will be unnecessary mean, and, initially, those are true. But very quickly, the game turns those tropes around by giving Mina a lot more depth and understanding about her own desires in a mature way and Hana introspection and openness to bond. Not only was it a welcome surprise that the game went beyond the trope, but it gave the character a sudden dimension that was very welcome + Killian is a douche: but he's not a mindless horrible person. He is on the surface an ok guy, and that makes it a pleasure to see his interactions with the MC - I know a loooot of people have already commented on it : but the walls of text are just too much, certainly when it comes to the carnations. I enjoy BDSM, but the depth of the cruelty and the repetition makes me skip it + While cruel, I do enjoy that the game is introspective about being responsible about BDSM, consent and the vurnerable positions of women in such a climate +- I'm not sure yet if the games takes the dialogue preferences into account, but it would be nice if - for example - your interactions with Rosalind are taken into account in how your bond develops. either romantically, lustfully, degradingly or wishing to own her. I see here and there that a variable is saved, but as of yet, it doesn't seem to change too much. (but I only had two playthrough, perhaps I missed it)

These games have the most consistent writing and the BEST girls of any adult VN I have ever played. There's simply not a better AVN on this site. You might have peers in different genres, or matches in story and characterization, or something more precisely targeted at your personal kinks but nothing hits as many high bars in every category. You've got gorgeous renders, the best H-scenes out there (as long as you're into bombshells and mostly vanilla/cheating/dom/sub play), a great storyline, what more do you want? And, holy shit, so much of it too. Hell the basis premise of the game even lets you be a relatively committed boyfriend while still having more and better scenes with just her than most full VNs if that's your jam. Anything less than five stars is an insult to good taste and quality story telling. I can see why people that hate reading and character depth might hate this visual novel.

1. The characters are written well, all of them have a proper background. 2. The plot works fine, it may not be amazing but it follows a decent thread. 3. The main character is a bit of a hypocrite, if you dislike indecisive and maybe even hypocritical characters then you might get a bit annoyed. Though eventually you can pretty much decide whether to be on the ''dark'' or ''pure'' side 4. My only real complaint is how you get locked into a path with certain characters. For example if you really like Hana, you can't get all her scenes unless you enter a relationship with her and then if you do you have to cheat on her to get the scenes with the other carnations. Overall though it's a 5/5 visual novel but it does have darker themes which some people will find unpleasant.

Only downside is how long the developers is updating their came been months with no update plenty of progress reports on his patrion, but if this goes on any longer I might have to bump this down to a 3 star on Mutt & Jeff just milking this game.

This game probably has the best written characters on this site, all of them are unique people with their own goals, weaknesses and strengths. The MC is written very well, walks the line between the "dark" and "pure" paths in a believable way, and the choices you make actually affect the story and the characters. The novel is a bit dry at the start, but it gets better and better the longer you play. Honestly, a must try for most people here, just beware of the darker themes in the story. Oh and the sex scenes are amazing too I guess.

The first thing that irritated me was that MC constantly whines about how the world is unfair and women shouldn't be treated like that (used as sex dolls), and then does the same thing again and whines about how the world is unfair. All the characters are whores, even MC mother. There's also no main plot. The only thing I can praise is the graphics.

If rated on a Ren'Py adult game standard: Renders are great Characters have depth and feel real (as real as it gets in a porn game, eh...) This is kino. Extremely well written, and even when things get to the point where I'm not comfortable the writing and quality of the chemestry between characters pulls me through. It's unlike anything else in terms of writing and how "quality" that part of the game feels. There are other top rated AVNs that I can't name in a review, and while they're extremely good, also 5 star worthy, they just can't produce that "kino" feeling that this does. I really wish more devs would try to aim for writing this good.

It's my second try to play this avn. In my first try i was bored with a huge amount of text of endless thoughts of MC and in sex scenes. In my current walkthrough i just hate almost every character from the start. How depraved, shameless and how illogical they are. Devs skillfully try to hide your past few minutes or hrs of relationships with characters by providing tear dropping backgrounds but it doesn't being stupid and illogical. Only one girl deserves to win the competition, even one of the other two admits it in the middle of the game. The third is just spoiled by attention and permissiveness whore which is disgusting at the beginning. If you look for some depraved light story to fast jerk it's not here too. A lot of text and blue balls for the first few hours guaranteed. Choices without choices. At the very beginning it really matters, our hero can dodge some ambiguous choices and can be good boy but a little later you won't have any choice. You can't take revenge or compensation for uncoordinated attitude. Can't refuse to participate in dirty shows, can't send your "best" friend to hell after many unpleasant things. Visual and graphics ★★★★☆ It's a high level for this engine. I like MC that he is an ordinary guy but don't like that all girls have huge breasts. The funny thing is the smaller body the larger breast. Women don't look their age and all have tight breast without any fat. Animation ★★★★★ Ofc wanted more animations in some scenes but they are all great. Sound ★★★★☆ Only one sound for every girl in sex scenes. It's high level but not enough for perfection. Text, dialogues ★★★★☆ It's great compared to other AVNs but illogicality of what is happening on the screen with provided choices ruin all the beauty of writings. Gameplay, replayability ★★☆☆☆ Like i said above there are no any meaningful choices. It's kinetic novel with optional sex scenes. You watch how your best friend makes some nasty things and in the next scene you celebrating birthday or have breakfast together like nothing happened before but you have choice will one of the LIs pee or lick your foot or will you fuck this girl or not with different options. Conclusion ★★★☆☆ Even if it's not average from above values i can't score more then 3 stars the game i can't complete without disgust to all characters and tiredness of a huge amount of text especially in sex scenes.

Reviewed at Chapter 4 Update 6 Probably one of the best adult VNs on this site. Great writing, great models and renders, great overall story setup and follow through. There's a decent amount of choice offered for different playthroughs, but often I felt like there wasn't enough choice within certain scenes. It varies. The story offers lewd content that's not often explored in other games, and can quite dark depending on your tastes. Some of it can be avoided with your choices, some can't. The game seems to tease incest content with the mom but never actually touches it directly. I'm not sure whether it's possible to create and maintain a full harem, I couldn't get the stats high enough for Veronica because I chose to spend time with other characters instead. I also don't know what types of endings there are, and I'm sorta worried the game will force me to pick a single GF. We'll see what happens, the VN isn't done yet.

This writer is on a next level. Not sure who, maybe more than one person, but holy crap. Yeah, it can be a lot. Especially for later girls. But man. The models are over the top in that "yeah, a girl COULD have that body... with just a liiiiittle magic" way that Honey Select always hits the mark on. The kind our genes are 100% capable of but never quite fully hit (without 1 in a million luck or help). This is an extreme fantasy (and I refuse to entertain the "actual" extremes as realistic extremes of fetish and fantasy - that is beyond fantasy and comes from pure evil. If you know, you know), and if you want to know what sits at the bottom of men's hearts and desires, play this game. It'll open your eyes for sure. No distinct NTR against the MC, which might have been nice (I love the idea of swinging/netori, though netorare is often a bit much). There's soft Spoiler: NTR Lucy and some of the whores, depending on how possessive you are , maybe more later, I'm only just past having sex with Spoiler: this girl Hana . Unbelievably fappable. Busted like 50 nuts so far to this. Different dialogue choices give different and very fappable scenes. And you are (usually) not punished for playing how you want or believe it should be played. Gave the creators a top-tier sub today as a thank you. It's just that fucking good.

Pale Carnations (4.6) is an excellent adult game. The sex scenes (what I consider the most important) are very good for the following reasons: The characters are very attractive, even though the art style is not hyper-realistic. The animations (motion) are very good, and the body physics makes them even better. The character personalities are diverse, and the dialog does a good job of reinforcing that making the scenes more fun. You have the option to avoid making big relationship decisions to foster a more harem type play through (at least as of this version). Another reviewer noted the similar large breasted physiques, and they are not wrong. As that is my preference, it's not a negative, but it could be for others looking for more body type range. The story, which is of secondary importance to me, is actually very interesting. I think it does a good job of setting the scene for your escapades and I find myself actually "caring" for certain characters. The writing can get a bit wordy, but you can't deny it's very well done.
