Seishu Academy

This game isn't great. The best thing I can say for it is that it has some good art which is probably more than what I expect from small, short games like this. Other than that, the gameplay and combat actively hinder how small this game should be. Art: 3.5/5 Like I said, this is the game's best quality. The two main girls are both pretty cute and have a very moe-esque style to them that is further exemplified with the cute expressions they get. The villains, while having the typical unremarkable character trait of having no distinct face, do at least look okay. Gameplay: 2/5 This game seems pretty bog-standard at first, but as you progress through the game, you notice there are several things that make it worse than the typical RPGM game. The way you strengthen your character is through this tedious maid catch/tag minigame. Okay, it's different, but it gets worse as the maids are much faster than you because the character moves slower than any other RPGM game I've played so sometimes I just got lucky enough to get to level 8. What makes this truly awful is that if you try it again, your level instead of increasing, becomes based on the result of the new try. Plus, your level gets reset after each completed mission so you have to go through this again. Combat: 3/5 Your typical RPG combat with regular attacks, special attacks, items and whatnot. Since you don't level up the usual way, the way to get new attacks is by collecting paw coins and giving them to Hinami to learn new attacks. It's cute how each one is a reference, but I found most of them didn't change the combat that much other than the Mera-Mera One Piece move. The "strong but inaccurate" attack is the worst offender as it's highly inaccurate but barely does more damage. H-Scenes: 3/5 As with the characters, the art is the best part. It goes further than some other small games where it has a full background instead of just altered sprites. However, you only get them after being defeated so you have to hinder yourself. There are about 3 per mission with each one being different than slightly altered CG so that was nice at least. However, there's no recollection room so having multiple saves is a must. Story: 1/5 The worst part of the game. Since you only progress the game through missions, the missions and a few scenes in-between are the crux of the story but it's extremely barebones. Each one is that there a bunch of creeps causing trouble for others and that if you lose, Sumire will be raped. Even in the background story with Hinami this is true so it gets boring fast.

another one of those shitty lose to see scene games. they dont even let you go straight to the battle to lose. first you have to do some tedious objectives before you can get to the battle. like.. chasing chickens around the school... i had 200mg of caffeine in my system and was genuinely tweaking but even i was having a bit of trouble catching those chickens. after a solid 15 mins of looking around and catching them i finally make it to the battle with the people responsible of releasing the chickens in the school. i lost on purpose and got an ok rape scene as im sitting there, dick in hand i couldnt stop thinking about how this game just made me, a grown man, chase chickens around an anime school for 15 minutes. i just couldnt finish the job and had to step away for a bit

Rev @ Seishu Academy [Final] Don't. Art's fine. Writing is nonexistent. Scenario's been done, narrative would take longer to make fun of than it does to complete, and all the other brainy bits are missing. Porn's boring and there's no buildup/payoff. Engine is here to waste your time, as per usual with bad RPGMaker games. TLDR: Shoulda known when I saw the DL was ~80 mb.
