Shadows of Summer is a Ren'Py adult visual novel by Alipel. You play as Izumi, a male protagonist who begins summer vacation with his girlfriend Sophia after a busy school year. Izumi's father, Kuroda, invites him to a countryside house by the sea. Izumi does not want to be alone with Kuroda, so Sophia comes along. The animated story develops cheating and netorare themes as Sophia and Kuroda grow closer, while Izumi enjoys the carefree break and misses what is happening around him.
Development is ongoing. The current build is v0.21, released on July 28, 2026. It runs on Windows, Linux, Mac, and Android, and is available in English plus thirteen other languages. The game is uncensored and uses animated 3D scenes. The latest update added 325 lines of dialogue, nine animated scenes, twenty images, new sound effects, new replay scenes made by Gigan, and updated patron credits.
Developer's description
After a busy school year, Izumi and his girlfriend Sophia finally start their summer vacation. Izumi receives an invitation from his father, Kuroda, to spend the summer at his house in the countryside by the sea. Not too keen on the idea, Izumi suggests that Sophia come along, since he doesn't want to be alone with his father.
But as the days go by, Sophia and Kuroda begin to grow closer, and their relationship begins to change beyond the typical father-in-law/daughter-in-law dynamic. While Izumi enjoys his carefree vacation, he has no idea that something is developing between Sophia and Kuroda right under his nose.
