About Sins of the Neon City
Sins of the Neon City is an adult visual novel by Sad and bad, built in Ren'Py with 3DCG visuals. You play Rick, a male private detective in debt in rain-soaked Neon City. His life seems hopeless until he finds a dead cartel courier and takes the Shard of the Abyss, a demonic artifact tied to human lust. The artifact lets him perceive the concealed desires of women nearby, including a secretary who seems innocent, a corporate wife who is cold, and a club owner who is dangerous. Choices shape whether he solves cases, remains decent, or uses the artifact to corrupt them. Multiple endings and voyeurism are part of the story.
The current build is Episode 1 Beta, released May 5, 2026, indicating development is ongoing. It runs on Windows, Linux, and Mac, in English, and is uncensored. The latest changelog lists the initial release of Episode 1.

Your life is a dead end until you stumble upon a murdered cartel courier and claim the "Shard of the Abyss" - an ancient demonic artifact that feeds on human lust. Suddenly, the flawless masks of the women around you begin to crumble. The artifact allows you to hear their deepest, darkest, and most depraved desires. Your innocent secretary, a cold corporate wife, a dangerous club owner... all of them hide dirty secrets. Will you use this newfound power to solve your cases and stay a decent man? Or will you feed the artifact, corrupt their minds, and become the predator this neon hell deserves? The choice is yours.
