I think what I hate most about Smutty Scrolls, Team Tailnut, and Dezue in general is the iron claw grip they have on their content for how little there is. Everything has to be hosted on itch, everything needs a password, and anything you pay for you're not allowed to own. Their porn style is good but every game they make is incredibly mid garbage that isn't all that fun to play, usually because of the balance choices. All for what? A handful of pinups? Smutty scrolls is a relatively interesting puzzle game that can be extremely hit or miss. I do like that Dezue gets creative with their puzzle game concepts with this one being centered around placing the slime MC, Lim-Lim, in certain parts of the level to affect later aspects of the story/level. It's very much a sort of logic puzzle you gotta figure out through a process of elimination by just trying everything. At best the game is incredibly easy and may or may not be fun depending on who you ask. Later on though some puzzles can be extremely convoluted with no hints or guides what so ever, leading you to either figure it out purely by accident, or looking it up because who the fuck would even think of that in particular? With this guy pay walling literally everything behind this "sexclusive" edition he makes and forcing you to play via browser and a password on itch is annoying as fuck. I get wanting to be antipiracy but it just makes me hate your game even more than I already do. There doesn't really need to be this hard of a chokehold on literally everything you do when you already make it a massive pain just to play it. Not to mention all you get are basically single image pinups that don't really get all too spicy. Art style good, content kinda meh, puzzles creative and interesting (albeit confusing as fuck at some points), and otherwise everything else bad. Even if there was a stand alone downloadable version I don't think it's worth going above 3 stars, they could be doing so much better with their content.

Smutty Scrolls Art : 6/10 ( juicy illustrations ) ( decent artstyle ) Gameplay : 4/10 ( great concept but not in a h - game ) ( it was pretty easy but the special puzzles were somewhat difficult ) ( illustrations were not that exciting nor worth the trouble ) Plot : 3/10 ( . . . ) Entertainment : 4/10 ( boring ) ( quite disappointed that it was not juicy as I expected ) Characters : 2/10 ( the girls seem to only have one personality ) Soundtrack : 6/10 ( decent ) ( above average h - sounds ) Fap Score : 3/10 ( although the illustrations were great it’s still weak enough to pull my pants down . . . maybe if they put all of the nsfw illustrations at the finish instead of showing it after doing it’s solution or maybe add a gallery ) ( if it was an animation [ even 1 sec loops ] instead of plain image then maybe I would maybe rate this high ) ( well I’m that guy that very rarely fap through images ) My Rating : 3/10 ( idk )

Really good Puzzle game actually, Nice Art too. I dig the style. Challenging and unique levels, I can tell some real care went into the design of this game. Worth it to play even without the Boobies. This developer may have a bright history ahead of them.

This is not a review of the latest version. I'm reviewing the version, that, as of the time of this writing, is the one available on F95 and that is the version from September '22. _____________ If you are looking for something completely different, this is it. I don't think I have ever seen this kind of gameplay in any other porn game, or even any other game period. The art is also pretty unique. It's a simple type of puzzle game, but not easy. Visuals: Excellent, from the girls to the UI, it's all good. Very pleasant to look at. Some nice visual hunour, too. The girls are all plump, happy, fun-loving shortstacks, waiting for you to puzzle your way into their boudoir. Audio: Fitting, easy-going music. Moaning. Both aren't intrusive and set the mood well. Gameplay: This is quite a brain-teaser. You will need good observation skills and some basic deduction skills for the earlier 3-stage levels. There are multiple solutions for every level and each gives you one picture as a reward. The average player should be able to find most of the solutions without help. The problem is the later levels, where you have to solve a series of puzzles to unlock all pictures at once. These are really hard and you will get nothing, unless you solve the entire level. I couldn't do it without help. Fetishes: Pretty vanilla overall. The protagonist is a slime, so you get a lot of that. A few tentacles. Some of the girls magically grow a dick once or twice in the game. Fappability: Easy. There is no gallery yet, but you can reach all the pictures very quickly. Each puzzle only takes a few seconds to unlock, once you know how. Overall, this one is definitively worth a try, especially if you are fatigued by dozens of samey VNs, RPGs etc. One star deduction due to the high difficulty in the later levels.

Really fun game. I love the whole trial and error discovery feel of the game. Wish there was more like it honestly. The later puzzles are indeed obnoxiously vague as another reviewer put it. I much prefer the the first few puzzles. And I enjoy having different images for different situations that you can discover.

[Review of Early Access 9/19/2022 on 9/30/2022] Puzzle game with a cutesy art style and truly devious puzzles. Honestly, I might just be dumb, but I struggled a little bit with this. A game that probably could be completed in less than 10 minutes took me around 30-45, because I just didn't see some of what the puzzles are trying to convey. Sometimes the implied solutions via the clues in later stages are obnoxiously vague. My biggest hints for players is to notice that every hint has a visual correspondent in the stage, so try looking carefully for visual correlations. Also, sometimes the spacing you might assume that the clue visually implies is not the literal spacing that you need to use. I'm thinking mostly of the skeleton clue in the graveyard stage. Regardless, after beating all the puzzles, I can say that while some of the artwork was a little titillating, I didn't really find anything to get off with in this game. If I was much, much younger, then maybe this would have more appeal to me, but I'm looking for more explicit sexual content than this now. Still, it was fun enough, and not the usual HTML/Ren'py/RPGM stuff.
