Something Is Wrong with My Wife

I played for about twenty minutes, and in that time, there were several "choices" to make that made absolutely no difference to the story (except for the one that resulted in an early ending, which was obvious, but begs the question: why even include that option?) The art is reminiscent of old school Flash animation art. Not terrible, but nothing impressive. Unoriginal and by no means eye-catching. The dialog was as flat as the art. "I said" followed by "she said", repeat ad nauseum, then sprinkle in a couple of inner thoughts here and there. The characters seem pretty one-sided, not fleshed out at all (ironically, given the thiccness of the two females of whom you get to see art). A wife fed up with her loser husband (the MC), the wife's friend supposedly encouraging her to cheat, and a new male coworker who is trying to get into a married woman's panties. It's a stereotypical NTR story that will not bring anything new to the bloated genre in any way. Do yourself a favor and skip this title unless you, somehow, have played through every other NTR title on this website and have absolutely no interest in any other kink.

It is really hard for me to give a unique NTR game a low rating but the writing and pacing of the story goes out of its way to make it painful to get through. It has a generic but workable overall concept, but then the writer goes way above and beyond to make it seem like it was created by a 12 yo, so any chance of enjoying a part of it gets immediately squashed.

Characters are uninteresting. Dialogue and narration is seemingly written by a fifteen year old. Art isn't the worst, and is the only positive distracting from the otherwise poor execution. Easy pass.

Graphics are nice. That's the only point that avoid a one star rating. Besides that, it is just a kinetic novel, with unimportant choices, except two endings. I have no problem with KN, provided the story is good. And the bad story is the main issue here. The story is terrible, and pure nonsense, including two over the top endings Spoiler: spoiler Basically the story of an over jealous man and an insecure wife. that becomes lightheaded after a glass of wine. Depending on your final choice either she will be trapped and become the town bicycle, or you kill the antagonist (before any cheating happens), ruin her life and gain the jackpot at the lottery (WTF?). Absolutely no sex action, except for one of the endings. Globally very brief, maybe one hour if you explore both endings. A waste of time, IMHO.

Solid start for a game, it's a visual novel that does not try to reinvent the wheel, but does very well what visual novels should do. Characters are well written and believable, story has a nice pace with good writing, and the "cheating" is not thrown on your face, it is still building up. CGs are really well done too. My only "complaints" are that the friend, Maddie, does not seem to be drawn in the same style as the rest of the characters, and a few typing errors.

Well nobody has mentioned it yet, got a few screens in before the inconsistent grammar, spelling and punctuation errors caused me to nope out. Maybe ESL or MTL but random capitalization alone made my skin crawl. I don't need a Masters in English level writing and 4th wall breaking dialogue is okay, but keep it consistent. ex. friend texting wife, "I don't know what to where." Speaking of formatting the texts from the friend all overwrite each other, only appearing in the top line of the phone screen, while texts from the wife, form a history with one appearing after the other. This is what I'm talking about game looks fun but formatting makes it unaccessible.

0.1 It was a good start, until the end of the episode, where everything changed very quickly. The story is well thought out, but poorly executed. It doesn't seem as NTS-like as other games, but at the same time, the wife was instantly a slut , and I don't like that; it loses the game's grace. Renders are Ok writing ok I'm going to give it 2 stars.
