Interesting prologue. The story telling could have been more polished, but it's good, visually the game is phenomenal Pros: + There is an actual complex story, but it's too early to judge if the story is any good + Dialogues are well written + Renders are perfect + Nice cliffhanger Cons: - The game introduces a lot of characters and there's a bunch of characters that have been mentioned few times, but we do not know who they are. That's confusing as we keep hearing names that tell us nothing. It's done the way some movies are done, but the key difference here is that in the movie the viewer sees the story from the beginning to the end to get answers. The way the story is written it may make the players wait until few updates before engaging in the game, which could be a game over for the dev in terms of support This AVN surely has a potential, but with the way the plot goes and the number of characters either introduces already , or mentioned, it will take a while before the game becomes truly engaging

for a prologue, it'll do. not enough content to make a proper impression and it could do with another round of proofreading but it's decent enough. the premise is good, there's no edgelord content, no gung ho gangster wannabe and it does what a prologue is supposed to do: set up a story properly. some may see it as a novel, considering you have a ton to read, some may be put off by it and skip this altogether. their loss, i'd say. a fair bit of references to both movies and other games (not sure how many are intended and how many are simply experience infused) so i'm looking forward to what this becomes. time will tell if this becomes another B-rated movie wannabe or an A lister. here's hoping for the later.

This VN Or Game is pretty interesting as of now. Renders look great as well. The story plot slowly reveals MC's state of mind and his surrounding. Just like in real life things are happening at there own pace and MC is not acting but only reacting to set circumstances that present themselves. This slow crime thriller plot and struggling MC with an inner turmoil and world obligations is more mature content as a game Or VN scenario, in my opinion rather than all powerful super magical or supernatural or super hero type setting. I personally love such irl challenge type games.. better. Overall, game feels strong and hope it's as fulfilling as it is looking promising at the moment.

To start this review off, I rate the game as it is, not the potential it has, or what I hope might be there at some point. No, I review what is in the game as of now. And 3 stars is a game that is average, not bad. A bad game gets 1 or 2 stars, not 3. This isn't a bad game. I am reviewing version 1.0 which is basically a longer prologue. Not enough for a definitive judgement, but there is enough content to review this version. I will come back to this a few updates in and reevaluate the game then. I wish I could say I have seen things you people wouldn't believe while playing this game, but I have not. Not so far, at least. It's mostly stuff we've seen before, if not in games, then in other media. Slight SF setting, as others have pointed out, lots of Max Payne references, basically standard Mafia/Big Corpo storyline. Which isn't in itself bad, if it is done well, in this case it is too early to really tell, but there are problems. Many characters are being presented, but not really introduced, in this regard, just offer a character sheet. You don't have to give too much information, just tell us who everybody is, and what relation/connection with the MC they have. We also have way too many "tough" looking guys with dark hair, not that you can't separate them, but a bit more colour wouldn't be a bad thing. The women so far seem completely inconsequential, apart from the MC's mother. If I could write something more positive, I would gladly do so, but nothing really gripped me. For one, it was way too much writing. You already have the visuals, they do part of the storytelling, so don't write the story to death. The moment it doesn't grip my attention anymore, and I begin skipping, you've done too much. This was definitely the case here. Text kept on piling up, but I didn't see anything significantly being told. It was repetitive and clearly written in a way as to hold back some information, but that sadly just made it less captivating, because that meant there was a lot of talking where basically nothing was really said. I get it, if the character has a dark, troubled past, you need to show us that, but don't overdo it, don't show it fe. in several different times, with flashback and flash-forward. When I read a story, I need to WANT to read it, when it becomes a chore, something is wrong. Spoiler: Reaction to perceived political commentary in the game, don't read if you are not interested. I mean no disrespect, and if I misunderstood your intent, I apologize in advance, but I have it up to here with people bringing in contemporary politics in their games in that blatant a way. How come it is so often the case that those constantly complaining about video game publishers having a political agenda, then use every chance they get to do what they accuse others of? And just FYI, bringing up Musk's Twitter buy-out and talking about how the "other side" wants to silence the truth and that is a way to prevent it, think for a moment who is saying that, your "heroes" are people who own a large company and are also part of organized crime, by any reasonable moral standards, these are not the good guys. So if that is their opinion, what does that say? Does it really say what you want to say? But maybe that is the intention, then I still think contemporary politics shouldn't be in the game, but at least it was done a bit more interesting. (And this isn't off-topic, I am talking about what is in the game, so don't use that as justification to delete my post, dear mods). Enough with the negative criticism, the writing has its problems, but it's not terrible, it's workable, but definitely has room to improve. The English is fine, you will not have a problem understanding it, it also isn't riddled with grammatical and spelling errors. There are a few pretty obvious ones, so a second check for them would be a good idea, I think. The Renders are good, for me personally, they are a bit too dark and sombre, but it's obviously the intended look, so that is basically just going a bit against my taste here. This is a crime story, it is noir-inspired, it is fine that it is so bleak and grim, even in the visuals, but just me personally, I would have preferred a bit of colour and light here and there to off-set the rest. But again, the renders are good, the rest is merely my personal preference/taste, and doesn't detract from the overall quality. TL, DR: So far the story is not particularly original, and it definitely feels overwritten, but the potential is there, story-wise we just don't know yet where it could go. And let's be honest here, considering the quality of the English in many games here, that this VN is written in good English, with acceptable grammar and spelling is already a definite plus (sad as that might be when regarding the average quality of games here) There are problems, there are definitely ways to improve this, but it's not a horrible start, if the part in the spoiler doesn't become a central part of the plot, this is definitely a game to check out a few updates in. Mind you, I am judging what is there, not what could be there at some point. Going from that, this is an okay start for a game, not good, not bad.
