The Guy in Charge is an adult Ren'Py visual novel by EroStories, formerly known as totallyoklad9348, with animated 3DCG art. You play a male protagonist who left home four years ago after an incident involving Karen. Returning, you find the women in the house are not pleased, and Devon, the other man there, helped cause your exile. The sandbox-style story lets you decide whether to repair strained relationships or allow Devon to act freely. Themes include corruption, pregnancy, and male protagonist.
The current build is v0.25, released October 4, 2026, and is still in development. It runs on Windows, Linux, and Mac in English, with no censorship. The latest update introduces 404 renders and many repeatable events. Earlier updates added story content for multiple characters and paths, including DLC scenes and exploration moments, but the newest release focuses on renders and repeatable events.
Developer's description
After being sent away to study abroad because of an incident with Karen, you finally return home after four years. The girls in the house aren't really happy to see you're back. The other guy in the house is the reason you were sent away. Now you can choose, do you want to repair your relationship with the people in the house? Or will you allow Devon to do as he pleases?
