Review for Episode 1 Overall: A really good start to a game for a first time developer. I'm a sucker for apocalyptic settings and stories staring grizzled veterans who are sucked back into a world of violence after seeking peace. Admittedly, it's a bit of a cliche plot, but I love the overall drama. Renders: The renders are good. Music: I'm deaf, so I can't comment on music or sound effects. Grammar: The grammar is good. There are a few instances where the English translation feels a little off, idioms and turns of phrases being the standout, but I'm not going to knock off any points because it doesn't take away from the understanding of what's being said, it just comes across a little awkward. But overall, it's very good for a non native English speaker. And since I only know one language, I'm not going to cast stones over a few awkward sentences. Writing: The writing is pretty decent so far. There seems to be room for character development. Some of the characters in episode 1 feel a little one dimensional, but it's also the first episode, so maybe they'll be flushed out more down the line. The lore and history of the world is pretty well flushed out and makes for an interesting setting. Story: A post apocalyptic world in which our hero must wake from his peaceful slumber to so save (and bed) various damsels from the dangers of the new world. But in waking, will he manage to hang on to the last scraps of his humanity, or will he lose himself to the violent weapon he used to be in order to protect others? It's a classic for a reason: it can be very compelling if well executed, but boring and cliche if handled poorly. It's too early to tell which way this story will go, but I'm down for the ride. Conclusion: If post apocalypse and grizzled heroes with baggage are your thing, you should check this one out. It's a good start to what could be a great game if handled correctly. Best of luck to the dev. I will be keeping an eye on this one.
