The Repairman is a kinetic visual novel made by DinoInsideABox in Ren'Py, presented with animated 3DCG art. You play as a repairman whose first chapter follows his effort to survive, then a chance to improve his situation reveals that the life he wants may be closer than he thought. The story frames his journey as the start of a broader fictional universe, with feedback welcomed.
The current build is version 0.08, released on October 15, 2025. It is available for Windows, Linux, and Mac in English and is uncensored. Development is ongoing, since the story is described as just beginning. The latest update changed new renders from PNG to JPG to reduce file size, improved jiggle, fixed texture lines on characters, added two loopable animations with two to three angles each, included around 100 renders with 20-25% X-ray images, and added some sound effects.
Developer's description
The Repairman is a visual novel about the exciting life of a repairman. In the first chapter, the protagonist finds himself doing the best to survive, but after finding a way to make things better he discover that living isn't so far away as he imagine. His journey is just beggining and what he doesn't know is that it will be filled with many exciting experiences and adventures. In my view, this project has the potential to open up an entire fictional universe. Feedback and suggestions are more than welcome!
