About Through The Lens : A Cinematic Phone Story
Through The Lens is a cinematic Ren'Py visual novel by Mr.Jak, played as Jake, a photographer whose work and private life unfold through smartphone messages and shoots. The presentation uses 3DCG renders and animated sequences, framing scenes with photographic lighting and posing. You make dialogue choices while exploring romance, teasing, and character-driven adult tension.
The current build is v0.1, released December 3, 2025 as the first chapter, with development ongoing. It runs on Windows, Linux, Mac, and Android in English, with no censorship. This release adds a full morning story arc, first meetings with Madison, Alex, Sophia, and Vanessa, and a complete phone system featuring typing indicators, stored message archives, and live chat previews. It also includes over 230 hand-crafted renders, more than 30 cinematic WEBM sequences, interactive choices, an auto-unlocking gallery, and a photography editing mini-game called Shibari.

Through The Lens is a cinematic, phone-driven Ren’Py Visual Novel following Jake, a rising photographer navigating shoots, desire, and the stories hidden between messages. Spoiler The game blends modern smartphone-based storytelling, high-end photographic aesthetics, and character-driven erotic tension. Every moment is framed like a real photoshoot: natural light, raw emotion, and realistic posing. There are no overused tropes—only modern, elegant, psychological eroticism shaped through choices and perspective. This first chapter introduces the tone, the visual identity, and Jake’s first encounters with Madison, Alex, Sophia, and Vanessa.
