About USV Polaris

USV Polaris is an adult visual novel made by DarkXstory in Ren'Py, presented with animated 3D CG. You play a fresh academy graduate serving under your mother, the captain of a civilian colony ship heading to a new world. The voyage was meant to take eighty years in cryostasis, but after three years the ship disappears, crew tension rises, and a parasite-like threat spreads through cargo holds and maintenance ducts.

Development is ongoing, and the current build is v0.0.5, released on September 24, 2026 for Windows, Linux, and Mac in English, with no censorship. The latest changelog, for v0.0.4, adds a survival system that tracks energy through active and rest cycles, an exploration mini-game on lower decks with shooting, moving creatures, ammo, checkpoints, five levels, and a boss, plus mission control to send crew on supply runs and HQ free-roam with clickable crew, trust and corruption gauges, contextual menus, and unlockable interactions. It also includes an NK2 lab for crafting doses from organic components, where NK2 shields the crew against the parasite, yet it corrupts the women.

You have just graduated from the academy. You now serve under your own mother, the captain of the *USV Polaris*, a civilian colony ship bound for a new world. The journey was supposed to last 80 years in cryostasis. But after only 3 years, something went wrong. The ship has vanished. Tensions are rising among the crew.
