Vulgar Reverie is an adult visual novel by Saxonado Studios, made with Ren'Py and featuring animated 2D character art. You play a man whose wife once left a mafia family to be with him. After years of hiding from that past and fearing it will catch up, he wants only a peaceful life with her. His thoughts gradually turn into disturbing fantasies in which he is not the central figure, and he cannot bring himself to tell her what he feels. The story focuses on netorare, with themes of female domination and swinging.
The game remains in development. The current build is v0.23, released October 5, 2026, for Windows, Linux, Mac, and Android. It is available in English and is uncensored. The latest update added Amelia’s animated bust system, a BustSlots feature that repositions characters as others appear or leave, automatic height scaling, improved movements and scene transitions, a textbox opacity setting with live preview, and a fix for dialogue text outside the textbox on some Android screens.

Character and Bust Improvements
Introduced Amelia's new animated bust system. (Just her current one for now, we will get to the rest too!)
Improved transitions so layered character artwork fades in as one complete image.
Added the new BustSlots system, allowing characters to automatically reposition themselves as others enter or leave a scene.
Added automatic character height scaling to better show height differences between the characters.
Improved numerous character movements, zooms, fades and scene transitions throughout earlier chapters. (If you notice any issues with these, please let me know!)
Interface and Accessibility
Added a Textbox Opacity setting, including a live preview.

Improved interface scaling across different aspect ratios.
Added a dedicated loading screen while character assets are prepared. (Mostly for the new busts we are putting in.)
Performance and File Size
Converted scene artwork to a more efficient format, CONSIDERABLY reducing the game's overall size while retaining its visual quality. (around 1.42GB now compared to 3.08GB it was before!)
Removed unused audio, images and obsolete Gallery assets.
Fixes
Improved compatibility with saves created in earlier versions.
Fixed layered facial features sometimes appearing before the rest of a character during transitions.
Fixed several missing backgrounds, music tracks and character issues when starting directly from Chapter Select.
Corrected positioning, animation, and presentation issues throughout previous chapters.
