Walkure Romanze ~Shoujo Kishi Monogatari~ is a Japanese story-driven game created by Ricotta and built with the Others engine. It uses 2D CG art and voiced scenes. You play as male protagonist Mizuno Takahiro, a student at an academy where jousting is the main sport and he serves as an advisor to riders. His routine changes when the annual competition approaches and his childhood friend Kisaki Mio is entered despite never having ridden a horse. Noticing her fear, Takahiro becomes her coach. The story includes romance, a school setting, and multiple endings.
The current build is v1.1, with the original release dated November 18, 2011. It runs on Windows and is available in English through a fan-patch. The latest changelog entry, from August 18, 2023, says ENG Fan-Patch 1.0 updates the game to v1.1. The game is censored with mosaic. Fan-patch work continued after the original release.
Developer's description
Walkure Romanze's story revolves around Mizuno Takahiro, a student studying at an academy with jousting as its main focus for sport. Takahiro acts as an advisor to the riders of the sport. Takahiro goes through each day tediously until the time of the annual competition draws near. Due to some odd circumstances, his childhood friend Kisaki Mio is enrolled into the competition. She has never even ridden a horse before in her life, and Takahiro senses the fear in his friend and becomes Mio's coach.
