What Remains: Migizi is a kinetic visual novel by Dionysus, built in Ren'Py with 3DCG artwork. It takes place in a dystopian ruined world filled with undead hordes, raiders, and rival groups competing for power. You play as a male protagonist haunted by a painful childhood and mistakes from his youth. As he moves through this brutal landscape, he encounters the remnants of humanity and tries to become a better person while surviving in a broken society.

The current build is v0.2, released April 22, 2025. It runs on Windows, Linux, Mac, and Android, is in English, and is uncensored. The latest update advanced the storyline, brought 650+ renders, four new characters, a new theme song, and typo fixes. Development is ongoing, and the creator notes that some characters may receive visual changes in future updates.

Developer's description

In a world overrun by the undead, raiders, and many groups fighting each other for power. What Remains: Migizi puts you in the shoes of the main character, a guy haunted by a troubled past. As he struggles to leave behind the pain of his childhood and the mistakes he made growing up in this ruined world, he must navigate a brutal apocalyptic landscape, face the remnants of humanity, and fight to become a better person in a world that demands the worst of everyone in order to survive. Survival, redemption, and the fragile hope of rebuilding in this gripping story-driven kinetic visual novel.
