The classic visual novel from AQUAPLUS that launched one of Japan's most beloved franchises, WHITE ALBUM is a story of love in many forms. Will a couple cling together, or drift apart on the cold wind? The album of their relationship will be as white as snow, and as poignant.

The White Album series, both old and new, is a monument to emotional failure , dressed in snow, song, and self-pity. Flawed characters aren’t redeemed — they’re enabled , their cowardice framed as tragedy. The drama isn’t earned — it’s manufactured through silence, lies, and powerlessness . And no, it’s not deep. It’s pretentious, overblown, and emotionally bankrupt . A monument to cowardice, immaturity and infidelity, passed off as deep, mature storytelling. Yuki doesn’t just distance herself—she manufactures isolation , then plays victim while sleeping with her manager. She is emotionally dishonest and complicit in her own betrayal . She isolates herself by choice, prioritizing her idol career while refusing to communicate with Toya. She lets Eiji Ogata, her manager, become her emotional crutch—knowing his feelings for her—and eventually sleeps with him. It’s not coercion. It’s a decision made in cold awareness . She’s not a victim. She’s selfish, detached, and disingenuous , playing the wounded lover while actively destroying the relationship. And no—calling her a slut isn't just about sex. It's about hypocrisy : claiming love for Toya while letting another man take his place in every way. Toya isn’t a complex man torn by desire—he’s a passive manwhore who cheats and hides behind “I love you” like it absolves him. Yayoi is a piece of shit . She doesn’t just enable Yuki’s career; she actively sabotages Toya and Yuki’s relationship. She knows Toya is in love with Yuki, yet she manipulates his loneliness , seduces him, and sleeps with him—multiple times—while smirking at the damage she causes. She’s not some tragic figure. She’s emotionally predatory , using Toya as a replacement for Eiji, the man she loves, while pretending it’s for Yuki’s sake. She lies, withholds calls, and isolates them from each other—then jumps into bed with Toya like it’s inevitable. Eiji is another piece of shit, taking advantage of his position as Yuki's manager to take what he wants. And she gives it to him, because of course she does. He’s not some tragic romantic—he’s obsessive, manipulative, and emotionally predatory . He uses his position as Yuki’s manager and composer to isolate her, blur professional boundaries, and insert himself as the only person who “understands” her. Stripping off the adult content does not excise the rot at its core.

10/10, Its extremely rare for Visual novels to believably depict falling in love with someone and still take itself seriously. Don't let retards on discord write Visual novels, write them yourself and take games like this one as an example to learn from.
