Here is a new version with a brand new scene (cleaning the dining room), featuring either a man or a woman partner depending on random choice.
I have the renders for the next update already, but the next release will be to finally finish Summer of Shame with a nice little epilogue scene, hooking it to the beginning of Work Xchange.

It took me a bit longer than expected to release this version, since it incorporates a full game cycle. For now there is only one job available, but a punishment scene is also available.

Hello all, as promised this is the first release of Work Xchange, my new game that I have been working on for some time. This release is mostly a teaser as it ends just before you begin assignments (the core of the gameplay), but you should expect another update soon since I have a lot of renders and text already done for the next updates. I wish I could have included more content, but I prefer to give you something now so you can see what is coming later.
This game will be able to support voice acting in the future, and I've worked hard for it to be easy to translate in multiple languages. It uses automated translations for now, but perhaps in the future it could be done more professionally.
I'm using a new software to compile the game, but I have tested it on Windows and macOS machines and it seems to work well. I'm not planning on having mobile releases for it (the game is designed for desktop), but the public versions will eventually be ported on the web as usual.
I really enjoy this game so far. Version .6 doesn't have much content yet, just enough to get a sense of the game. I can see it becoming grindy or repetitive without lots of new content / events, but what's there as a start looks terrific. The game gives a sense of what's to come and I'm really looking forward to playing future versions. The interface is very slick and seamless. It's not an engine I'm familiar with, but it works great.
Given all of Scodini's games use the same (likely personally developed) Engine, and many of them reuse the same art assets (including this one, for some of the characters) I would prefer either the replacement of the Engine with something better recognized, and/or the extension of one of the narratives previously explored. The repetive durth of this offering, when compared with their previous games, leave much to be desired.
No matter how good the rest is. The fade in and out effect after every click makes the game is a waste of time, there must be an option to deativate that. The events that in there are good but with only 3 in the current job after you seen all of the with all option you only looking on the fade effect till you grind the points to the next lvl.
So far its very barebones but the task itself is intriguing and the visual quality, text quality, and overall polish are impressive for it being so early on The big question will be how it scales beyond just the maid task
