A Mirror's Curse is a transgender transformation game created in Twine using the Sugarcube format. In this story-driven adventure, you step into the shoes of Ethan Yoon, an ordinary high school senior enjoying a seemingly typical life. Everything changes when visiting the Autumn Festival with friends takes a strange turn. I love the slow transformation. Every time I hit the end of the content I wish I could keep playing. So far, I find it the best transformation game I have ever encountered. Thank you so much for the work and love you are putting into it.
Despite the premise of the game being that the PC was Involuntarily cursed, you have to Willingly want to change to see any TGTF content. Or basically any content period. So long as you refuse the obviously feminine choices, you can probably finish the game with little to no transformation, simply by refusing to Want to change. This is a game for people that Want to change into a girl. And a bit of a boring game for people who want to resist and be slowly forced into the change. The art is okay, but even as a text based game, seeing any art is still pretty sparse.
Earnest and clearly a labor of love from the creator. This is far more of an emotional story than a sexual one. And it's worth trying out! However, it cannot be denied that AI was used in the writing. The prose and dialogue both contain every sign of ChatGPT-speak (or a similar chatbot). As someone who cares about the craft and art of writing, it's a little disappointing, especially since this is a Twine game. That said, maybe the creator wants to focus on things other than the writing. The number of variables and stats being monitored in the game have some great depth, it's honestly impressive. The customization options for the transformation aspect is really well done. Different play-throughs can clearly deviate greatly.
I love this story/game and always look forward to the next update. It is refreshing to see sex, gender, and sexual preference handled separately in the story. I get very tired of TF stories where the MC grows a pair of tits and suddenly they need to suck every BBC in town. This is a nice, and very welcome, change of pace. The story is beautiful, heartfelt, engaging, and I would guess either extensively researched or written from a place of personal experience. Well done!
It's very important to note that this game is heavily focused on story and its writing, particularly on the inner turmoil of the protagonist. The story it tells isn't a vehicle to get the player to the adult scenes. First and foremost, the author wants to genuinely explore the themes of the game (gender identity, transformation, alienation, etc.) and in my eyes they do it really well. None of the characters came across as annoying, far from it. Everyone in the cast has something going for them. The player has a pretty substantial degree of agency over the events in the game (at least it appears that way on my first playthrough) and overall, the writing feels really well executed. It's to the point where my ADHD riddled brain doesn't skim over text even after downing 3 cans of Red Bull. If you're in the mood for some reading, and you have even a passing interest in the themes this game covers, it's probably worth your time. It certainly was worth mine, I'm gonna be replaying this one a couple of times at the very least.
Very slow burn, heavy on character building and the MtF discovery journey. There are nude sprites of your character and a couple masturbation scenes, but this isn't a porn game. Amaty is a bit slow themselves lately - health issues - but the quality has stayed high. Great story for those that swing that way though, and I'm happily supporting on Patreon.
This is an HTML game with the occasional use of pictures. It's a slow burn transformation with nothing lewd in it (only masturbation) as of version 0.21 . None of the characters are memorable, nor is the story. re: Dreamer did it better.
I can't wait for more content. Trusted other reviews and gave this game a chance even tho lets be honest here, we're kinda looking for porn on this site, and yet again... another gem, one of those came for the porn, stayed for the story. the UI is excellent for this type of transformation & dating sim, which makes the journey of change and relationships quite easy to follow and keep track of. I can already see the busty dickgirl with a friendly but confident attitude im gonna try to create! Dev, keep up the good work, this was fun and enjoyable.
Excellent story, cute characters,, and awesome UI. I really hope this game takes off it's up there with AAA games in my opinion. Maybe because it's still in early release but I hope there's more transformations and H scenes but I'm hopefully right now with current dev feedback/momentum
At the top: if you're here for quick titillation, you'll be disappointed. No judgment, we all know what site we're on. That's not this game's specialty. What you will get with this game is a M2F transformation story with remarkably sharp writing. The choices feel good, offering you meaningful options without unsustainably snowballing things. The characters are distinct and enjoyable. The prose is expressive without being too wordy- there are parts of this game that are long, but it's always because there's a purpose. I have a lot of respect for the craft on display. Treat this as an interactive fiction story about a magical trans experience first, and a porn game a distant second, and I think you'll find this to be among the best on this site. If there is a downside, it's that the game so effectively fascinates that you're at the end of content before you know it. Not because it's short, but because it flows so naturally and enjoyably that you'll lose track of the time. Shoutouts to my roommates, sorry dinner was late, if you found this then now you know why.
How much you enjoy this game will depend on two things. First, it would appeal to those who enjoy the male to female transformation genre, and second, you must not be bothered by the content being primarily text. I played this game back when there were fewer images and I do think the added images work well with the transformation storyline. Picturing the changes in my imagination was fine, but to have some images interspersed among the text works even better in my opinion. My favorite thing about this game is how unrealistic it is. Real life tends to be much harsher on those of us who dare to be different. Failing to conform to the norm of our binary society leaves one open to ridicule or worse. I appreciate the "safe space" that exists within this game's story. It isn't completed yet, so things could still take a darker turn, but as it is I love the "live and let live" atmosphere present here.
Really great writing. Every character has enough depth to make you interested. Transformation is slow but you can see it taking shape. MC feels bland but slowly gets customized to the choices you take. Really want to see it finished and the different possible endings

I just played this game last night. It was incredibe, deeply moving, and very affirming to me as a trans woman. Far and above the regular sissy/feminization content out there. As a non submissive trans girl who definitely had some interest into the feminization genre, I also appreciated the fact I could play a confident character in this story while still being considered trans. If any top content may be added this would turn this game into a masterpiece. Thank you so much for your hard work.
Been tracking this game for 2 months, developer is very responsive in discord and works hard to explain and provide insight/help and is receptive to feedback by players. Game is very easy, visually appealing, and the different options and choices made by the player impact the MC's interaction, appearance, and character with the story NPCs
It's clear the dev has passion for his game. Good story, solid dialog and a surprisingly high number of choices that actually seem to affect the game and your character. Being able to know the current appearance of the MC at any time is a really nice touch as well.
