About Absolvement of Viscaria

Absolvement of Viscaria is a 2D RPG made with RPG Maker by Yasagure Kitsuenjo. It uses CG artwork and sandbox-style play. The story centers on Kubel’s Pillory Disease, a mysterious incurable condition that has plagued the world for seventy years. It follows two Absolvers in a three-person family who conclude the deadly illness is actually a curse and spread a way to remove it. The tale explores fantasy, corruption, and humiliation.

The current build is a trial rather than a finished release, version v1.01, released November 26, 2023. It is for Windows and comes in an English fan translation. Adult scenes are censored with mosaic.

Developer's description

For 70 years, the specter of Kubel's Pillory Disease has haunted the globe as a mysterious, incurable "death sentence". This is a tale of the struggles of the two "Absolvers", in a family of three, who determined that the dreaded mortal illness afflicting the world was, in fact, a "curse", and propagated the method of its dispelling.
