v1.0.4 Hotfix Unfortunately, some files got mixed up with the release yesterday, breaking the Mac and Linux builds of the game. A hotfix was just released to fix that issue. On top of that, we saw reports of the Club Amorous DJ crashing the game. We also fixed that issue with this release on all platforms. Last but not least, we noticed the High DPI mode on Mac needs some manual work to get right. As such, we moved the High DPI mode to a startup argument for advanced users: -highdpi. To get High DPI mode working properly (as in, your menu won't be shown in the top-left with lots of black around it), follow these steps: - Start the game without the -highdpi startup argument - In the main menu under "Options", set your resolution to the maximum possible. Also turn on fullscreen mode. - Close the Options-window properly (in order to save your changes). - Close the game, or if you are no longer able to click "Quit", press CMD+Q instead. - Set the -highdpi startup argument - Start the game You should now have a High DPI version of Amorous. It has it's shortcoming and the developer might be bit controversial at times however, this is by far The best furry dating sim game out there. The Graphics and art is done wonderfully Music is very memorable The gameplay is simple and effective And the characters are all unique and very likeable 10/10

Yeah, the game is uhh... alright. There's a lot of "content" here, not really talking sex scenes, but there's a decent amount of downtime with decent storytelling to be found. The sex itself? It's great, but its a small fraction of this game. There is really only one place where the story branches, and that's the very start of the game. Everything else work on single strands and after the sex scene, doesn't go anywhere.

Massive classic (though not old old) that was a massive surprise and one of the first on Steam and Free. With modern days suppose it once again is likely a classic and surprise to still be on steam. It could use more content and is a bit outdated in some areas (playing other gender especially is a bit of need of update from what I recall). But again this a free fury steam game... not often you can say that these days or in passed few years (especially with it not being all just gays). Still recommend for quick and easy furry enjoyment.

I don't know what some of the complaints are about. Apparently some stuff I don't know about happened but that has nothing to do with my experince. For me personally this was a great game. I love it.Seth alone made this game worth playing. I loved my time with it. I have nothing but great things to say about this honestly.

I realize I'm very late on this game, and it seems to me that the low ratings are partially from a lack of content updates over the years, but I enjoyed this title as it is now. The game has a variety of interesting characters, and the player customization is on point! Maybe there was something else I missed that angered or annoyed other players, but finding it as it is now, I think it's a solid game! Certainly worth a shot if this type of content is your thing!

4/5 Art -> Quite good. Though naturally fetish oriented. Writing -> A big focus of the game and largely good, characters are rounded out to different levels of success for each. Gameplay -> A dialogue heavy point & click where you can pursue a cast of different characters. Correct dialogue choices and some minigames determine outcomes. Content -> Seemingly the source of many negative reviews, content can be very niche, and sexual content is few and far between.

This game have a somewhat good premisse for a porn game, going into a club to get people's phone number to them date and bang them is a fitting premisse in a porn game, but sadly this one don't implement it that great, the game starts you in a club in wich you have to talk to people you wanna bang and answer correctly a series of questions some of them needs to be met more than once to get their phones , some of those starting questions can somewhat build a personality for that character which is good, but most of them don't, after getting a phone, or even without any you can talk to your friend (housemate, roomate idk) and go back home, when you are back home you can dial the numbers you got and arrange dates, which can sum up as a bunch of texts and some questions you need to answer correctly (I think? These questions don't seem to affect nothing at all) and the day ends, go in a sufficient ammount of those (usually 3) with the same partner and you get yourself a sex scene, the sex scene lasts a few seconds and then loops, after the sex scene the game ends and you return to the club to start everithing again, but the sex scene you just saw is now unlocked. If the previous paragraph didn't gave you a clear picture of the problem, just think of the whole hassle of answering all those questions to get 1 sex scene and then gone, you don't know that character anymore, the game dont have any deph to the characters to make the characters likable, neither have enough sex scenes to apeal for a fap, looking at these facts its seem that the developers and designers didn't knew wich audience to appeal.

Serval things have to be mention before I start with this review: 1. This is the first furry game I ever write a review about, but not the first furry game I play. Also, I fail to understand what is so special about furries and why they get shit online. Since for me, furry is just another genre, like hentai, or 3D. Choosing to jack off to furry porn instead of human porn should be as trivial as choosing Thai food instead of Chinese food for lunch. 2. I am aware this game has infamous status and there is some drama behind it, in which I won't touch at all. Because I don't know, and I really don't give a shit. 3. I am not gay...at least, still not the last time I checked. So I avoid (most) of the (biological) man selection, more reason in the first spoiler section. Anyway, let's get started: This game is a furry dating sim with the ability to make your fursona. You go to the titular named club and meet "people", then you talk to them, get their number, ask them out, get to know them, then try to get in their pants...and that's about it. Before I go into individual detail, I will get the obvious out of the way: Spoiler The game is very pro LGBTQ...to the point you can't play as a (biological) female and get fucked by any in-game male. No, I am serious, even if you make yourself female in the customization screen and tell the game you are female when it asks. You will somehow grow a dick in the sex scenes with the guys. I don't want to sound super vulgar, but what is wrong about keeping the pussy there even if all those men still go for the asshole? Maybe there is no real "pussy" in the customization screen, the "slit" option is just another dick, literally. ....and with that out of the way, the game has a very good presentation at first: The character customization is fantastic by crowdfunded game standard, you can really make some ridiculous fursona. But it really doesn't matter since you don't see yourself out of sex scenes...even then it doesn't affect a lot. Though I lack the creativity and found any rando in the club have a better design I can come up, so I end up just paint the default blank guy with the color #177013 and get done with it. The hookup part at the club is good as well, you choose from a selection of characters, and try to get their phone number for future contacts...though it is kinda easy to see who you can romance and who you can't. Spoiler: Hint They move, the un romanceable character doesn't move in the dialogue scene. I kinda like the fact you can't just have a one night stand with anyone in the club restroom. It breaks the stereotypes of furries being a bunch of horny fucks who are on heat 24/7, but on the other hand, this is not that kind of game if you want instant porn faster than instant noodles. So what is the problem? Well, everything else kind of fell short after the club. After you call up anyone for a date, it becomes a VN dating sim deal, and it fell short in more than one way: First of all, the writing is only "good" at best, a lot of them range from "average" to "who write this?". Normally in those VNs that you can click skip until the porn appears, this is fine. But this game is very lacking in the porn department, probably only one per character , so the writing needs to be good to hold up, and it isn't very good... Even the average dialogue and not much porn still isn't the biggest problem this game has. It is the presentation of its story and dating scene. I don't really know what happens to the development of this game, but a lot of the scenes happens in date is just simply describe using text, when in any other VN they will at least give you a CG or some character interaction. Spoiler Like in a certain character's route, there is a scene when they are playing DDR. In a Japanese VN they will make some sort of CG showing the girl dancing while double as fan service, but this game gives you nothing, except loads text describing what happens, and a trial and error selection that you have no way to get right 100% unless you have the luck to win the lottery. Or in my favorite character's route, there is a part they are chase by cops...yeah. But again, there is no CG scene of this, and everything shown is just recycled assets used in the previous scenes. You think an event of being pursued by the law should at least give you more context, or a fan service scene when you two are hiding in a tight place, or anything except a huge wad of text...and more trail and error selections. The dating presentation feels very unfinished, like it should have more scenes and CGs regarding everything that happens instead of load after loads of text. To add insult to injury, remember when I say there is only one porn scene per character? I lied, there is a couple...but all in text form. Every character still only has one sex scene in image form. I can understand the appeal of text-base smut, but when you are a freaking VN instead of a text adventure, show something on the screen. So in short, I think the dating part fell short, a lot. Even the character I very like I can't stand the literal wad of text with nothing happening on screen. I understand not every game have to have all full-motion scene like that one certain grim reaper game, but this game just feels very lacking in that department. It really makes me think of a theory that this game originally has like at least two dozen romanceable characters, base on how many random furries are just chilling in the club. The core designers have a very ambitious plan to put them all in, and are working on all the art and assets. But one day, they all fuck off the project, one reason or another. The rest of the team just have to sew what they have together, and write loads of text trying to make everything make sense and presentable. Except it still feels unfinished, despite it technically is. TL;DR This is a furry dating sim that has a complex character customization option that really doesn't matter out of messing around. It has a strong presentation at first but fell short as it goes on. With loads of text that gives the feel like they exist to cover up the part they don't have assets for, mediocre at best writing, and a very lack of porn scene.

I remember finding this game back when it first came out which was in 2014 or 2015. The game was incredibly basic and it only had one sex scene. That was 4-5 years ago, let's look at the game now: Jasonafex is horrible at releasing content for this game. It's been 4-5 years and all we get are about 20 minutes worth of dating for a character with ONE sex scene per character. There is an unbalanced amount of sexual options in the game: 6 males, 2 females, and 1 dickgirl. And on top of that, if you choose to play as a female character, you WILL spontaneously grow a dick and will have no choice in the matter. There are scenes in the game that you have no idea how to complete without a strategy guide of kinds (the Skye DDR scene for example). I wish that I could give this game a better rating, but with the lackluster content with only a few redeeming qualities like the art, this game isn't really that good.

Some interesting work here that's only let down by the lack of 'content' and some inexcusable features that don't work Pros: -Sexual content is (to me) high quality animated work. -The dates are written in a ~somewhat~ realistic fashion, making them more believable stories. Cons: -Every character I tried only had one scene. -It takes 10 minutes to actually see the content if you're in a rush and you need to pay attention as from what I gathered you can get bad endings. -You can create a female protagonist- BUT there are no scenes (from what I gathered) and you suddenly grow a dick. -There is an unbiased amount of gay content- I'm alright when a game is full gay content. However, when you have a mix of both straight and gay, I want a 50/50 split. (for perspective- there are 8 dateable characters 5 men, 1 futa/trans, 2 women) Suggestions: -Create a second scene for ALL characters -remove the female protagonist OR create 2 extra scenes for all characters - create an equal amount of gay/straight characters - add an ability/cheat to skip minigames and guarantee good endings

Played this awhile back and I doubt it's changed much. So I'll give you a bit of a run down of the content. The Pro's Art is really good IMO. Nothing jarring and it's soft to look at, nothing pixelated or just badly drawn IMO. Animations are also solid Environments are immersive enough and it doesn't feel bland. So all and all the game is decent at letting you sink into what's going on. The Cons Probably the biggest one is what I call Speak to Smut ratio. In other words how much talking is there compared to fuckin'. I'd say this game lands an easy 80% speaking to 20% smut for every path you take. Characters usually have 1-2 sex scenes but it feels like a chore to get that far. A lot of games will give you a tease or something small before getting to full sex or something beyond. This game makes you build romantic relationships and go from there until sex. I know for some that's nice but if you're focusing on a game called Amorous for the Amorous aspect, it'll leave you feeling rather underwhelmed after you're done. If I remember correctly, stop me if I'm wrong; I don't think you can pursue multiple relationships at the same time. Call it replay ability, I call it monotonous due to previously mentioned grinding through relationship Character creator although intuitive and heavily customizable is useless (muda muda muda....) You only ever see three things; hands, dick and legs. You never see your face or most of the body outside the scene so IMO just worry on dick type and body color. Gender does not matter for sex scenes. You will grow a dick. If you want this ONLY for smut, you'll be left bored. I'd say there's about 20 minutes of sex MAX for a game that's about 2-3 hours long to see everything/read all dialogue. Little personal tidbits; wasn't a fan that the game can set you up to fail relationships super fucking easy. Literally say one wrong thing and about 10 minutes of listening to boring dialogue is wasted. Thank god for rollback. Some characters are one dimensional as hell and it makes it even more painful to read their dialogue. These are typically the male romance options though. If you want something to kill time, this is solid. Want it as a new favorite game with hours of content? Keep looking.

After being in production for... what, ~3-5 years? What does Jasonafex have to show for himself except this farce of a game? Truly, I feel sorry for the development team who had to work for that sort of person. I do not feel sorry for this game. And I shouldn't have to. For ~3-5 years of development time, I expect a game with much longer relationship routes. In this game... for each route, you have what? Two, Three dates and a single sex-scene... and that's It? Fucking pathetic! If I compare this to another 'Furry' visual novel such as Extracurricular Activities or... dare I say it, Blackgate... Even despite Blackgate now being largely dead, both of these games blow this one out of the park! I suppose the only somewhat decent feature about this game is the ability to create your 'fursona'. But even this is somewhat flawed. From what I understand, you cannot even play as a female without the game fucking it up!

Stay far, far away from this one - even if you're into anthropomorphic animals. Unlike advertised, this does not in fact include playing as a female, doesn't contain enough content to warrant the "sandbox" category and has quite a few elements which at best are rushed, at worst are dead ends.

I would probably give this 2 stars, but have to balance out the 1 star reviews a little. This is a pirate site, and there's no need to pay for this game. Who cares that the person who made it is a pile of shit? The game itself isn't great. There's a handful of characters you can interact with at the club, and if you play your cards right you'll get their number and get to date them. There doesn't seem to be any method of just hooking up with someone at the club, despite multiple characters heavily implying they'd lead to that. From there it's 3-4 quick and easy dates followed by sex and credits. There's no ending or epilogue, just the option to skip back to the club to try dating someone else. The art is decent enough to try the game, especially if you like furry stuff, but you'll probably get bored of it quickly. Date the characters you're interested in on some weekend, then delete the game so it isn't eating up space on your computer.
