Arabella 1890

I LOVE this VN that relates the discovery of sex by a young upper class girl at the end of the 19th century. Many text, but it is very well written, very hot and with a delicious bygone charm. More the story is intriguing and very interesting. The hand-drawn drawings are outstanding, very sensual and exciting. It should be noted that their number is very high, probably higher than in most 3D VN, let alone games with 2D drawings. All the VN is very well voiced, including narration and dialogs. All in all a very good experience. The only drawback is that there are only 3 chapters presently (but with 3 long sex scenes), and the release rate seems to be one chapter per year. With such high quality standards, this schedule is not very surprising as the dev also has some other (very good) projects. And TBH, I prefer a high quality VN with a poor release rate to a poor quality game frequently updated. But at this rate, the VN will need decades to be fully issued ...

I will be frank with you. I don't know anything about the visual novel that is being used as a source. To me, it's just a Victorian story. But this Ren'Py project as a whole is made at a very good quality level. The narrator's monologue is voiced. Beautiful illustrations, beautiful fonts and menus are used. In the current version, for the most part, the novella is kinetic. If I'm not mistaken, I came across only one place where I had to make a choice. The duration is not long, but this is just the first episode.
