Bare Witness

The artwork for this game is stunning. The characters are fleshed out well and have fun moments to show off who they are and some backstory to explore. But you can’t have them all (Which is good or bad depending on your view), and I appreciate that despite most of the play being linear, there are some nights you’ll have to pick between one girl or another even with the polyamory vibe to the house group. It plays more vanilla with some optional taboo (Cousins), focusing more on emotional connection and intimacy. May biggest complaint is the choice of music. It’s hard to read and stay in the scene when there’s some guy screaming about “secret treasure” in my ear on repeat. The music itself is fitting for the scenes, but would be better without lyrics.

The best thing about this game is models. They alone justify 4/5 rating. LI also have defined personalities, even if they are somewhat flat. What precludes me from giving this 5/5 is that story itself is really boring and this (like many other Ren'Py VNs) is barely a game. I reached 2 endings - one closest to harem, one with favorite FFM pairing available - and couldn't force myself to replay 1 more time even when it was obvious I still missed a lot of scenes with other LIs. Despite interesting initial premise, the story itself is mostly a typical slice of life VN with the plot just coming up in the end to force the game to finish. I have played a decent amount of games on this site and the combination of lack of gameplay and boring plot simply doesn't do it for me anymore. 4/5, still recommend everyone to play at least once since high quality visuals are really worth it even if you have the same issues as me.

It's a very good game. It's very good in almost every aspect. I played it, I liked it, I enjoyed it, and why shouldn't I give it 5 stars when the creators put so much energy and time into such a good game. Thank you.

Bare Witness - Review Bare Witness is a fantastic VN, with many choices that effect the the path you pick. 6 Main women with a couple more in threesomes and such, graphically one of the best Vn's on the site even if its alittle short Pros: Visually one the best VN's with great renders. Great sex scenes and animations. Really good writing and a story that makes sense. Mutiple endings. Cons: No Harem route Seems short, only 5 chapters Overall 4/5 stars which is decent for it being short, all endings are written out well and the plot makes sense.

Fun to play, and quick to get into. Great models, posing, animations and sets. Forced decisions for a limited number of relationships means I'll most likely play through again, when I normally rarely would.

It's good !!!!!!!!!! . The story is a little bit rush but it's ok, still have fulfilling endings tho. The replayability is enough to make up for the short game length. Plot is easy to follow, not making it overdramatic is a plus point. Super recommend !

Decent game kinda overrated though. Beautiful renders with a nice story but game has its downsides.. First off, no dialogue choices. The only time you are presented with a choice is when there is an opportunity to take a step forward with one of the Li's or if you want to meet up with them or ghost them. Don't get me wrong, MC is a great guy, but it would be nice for you as player to have an option to respond during conversations, some are quite long and boring. Polite/friendly/calm/hostile/flirty w/e, something to make MC more relatable or just to make the situation awkward or funny. Now about the female characters. All feel so plain and cliché.. I like to go solo path with each girl before harem or some crazy shit, and solo paths are so unrewarding here, though I didn't get to do all of them, yet.. Heidi & Athena, both are great, but by the laws of adult VNs, if 2 girls are good friends they must be more than friends. And as always, you are presented with a choice to either be part of their relationship, where you must balance shit between all 3 of you and deal with their drama, or break them apart, to which I say FUCK YOU! Valeria, hot milf no doubt about that, but she's in her early 40's with a womb hitting expiration date, no point in pursuing anything serious with her other than casual sex. Mora, she's sweet, diligent, hard working, dorky but not too dorky, just the right amount, would be a perfect choice if she wasn't a GINGER! Sadie, pimple forehead cousin that we pretend to not know each other cuz plot stuff. Super boring, nothing more to add. Hope solo paths will be more satisfying with characters I didn't go for yet, though I doubt it..

Everything about the game is incredible. Absolute top tier... but there's one aspect that is completely insane. The dev(s?) mastered characterization, and the quirks of the various love interest personalities come through in the sex scenes to really make them come alive. This especially shines in group scenes. It feels so real how the MC and 3-4 women interact with each other in bed, because their personalities drive the writing. Incredible sex scenes happen in other VNs, but it's very rare to see scenes with more than 3 characters done well. This game absolutely NAILS it.

Bare Witness is clearly a quality game most would probably enjoy, but felt a bit too tame in my personal taste. Visually the game looks really good and animation quality is ok. The writing has no grammar issues and quality easily exceeds most games on the site. I played for 2-3 hours but the game didn't quite grab my attention enough. Don't get me wrong - there are plenty of h-scenes, varied characters, and fun dialogue, but I still feel like something is missing. I am not into wild kinks myself, but I still feel the game could benefit from a bit of exciting taboo-related stuff, considering the biggest "taboo" was a light romance with a cousin - which other characters didn't even object to anyways. Even a bit of cheating, corruption, or some naughtier stuff would make a big difference IMO. Every character in the game has a distinctive personality, but every girl the MC chooses to pursue, practically throw themselves at him. A certain sense of challenge is missing while building the relationships. I have to mention another small gripe that bothered me a bit. The game has these background characters walking around in various scenes (such as the book shop clerk). Sometimes they wink at the mc, sometimes not. Many of these characters look much more natural, and much more gorgeus than most LIs the MC can pursue. If you see yourself as an average VN-enjoyer, I wouldn't read too deep into this review. Just try it out. On the other hand, if you are into the naughtier stuff like I am, Bare Witness might not do it for you.

A medium-sized game, that's concise and know what it wants to be. Good plot, better characters and great designs and models. The interactions are very organic and at least try to have some realism, while offering a variety of paths. This is very much a choices based game where who you pick will change the story and specially ending.

Great work overall. The game has a solid introduction and build-up, a good plot twist that adds depth to the story, and satisfying endings. The renders are top-notch, and the love interests are gorgeous. The only thing I think could be improved in a future game is how the choice of love interests is presented. This mainly concerns Valeria’s path. Honestly, it was hard to tell whether Val is meant to be a permanent side-chick or a full love interest with her own ending. I’m saying this because she doesn’t have many activities or meaningful interactions. Before Spoiler: Valeria path spoiler the pregnancy question , most of her scenes revolve around sex, which she herself explicitly describes as casual. This doesn’t ruin the experience, but it does make that particular route feel underdeveloped compared to the others. Although Valeria's ending is satisfying once I pushed to reach it. After reading the walkthrough (after finishing the game), it became clear that the authors strongly pushed the quadruple relationship with Heidi, Athena, and Mora (which is actually well done). I’ll be following their next project with interest and hope that the different love paths will be more clearly distinguished, with more dedicated content once the player commits to one. One thing that could be corrected is actually really long epilogue. It doesn't provide much content, it's just a showcase of "life afterwards". Game time: ~7h, it's pretty short, but it helps the dynamic, doesn't bore and provides good pacing.

The game starts with lesbian voyeurism, which alone could make me say I didn't like it, but I like to finish what I start, so let's go. The characters are quite varied and good-looking, however, no one is a virgin and the lesbian content makes the protagonist seem out of place in the game. The negative points are few but are repeated a lot throughout the game. Which makes me dislike the game.

I've been eyeing this game for a while but I finally got around to playing it. I just finished a route and I can honestly say its a fantastic AVN. It is a bit short but man was it a thrilling ride. I know it is an AVN yet if you remove the adult element it felt like I was just reading a well-written character driven story and I would sat down for it too. Lastly I appreciate and love all the references it made me cackle a few times. Comedy is on point too! Fantastic game.

what a disaster not game, started good good writing, but ended like peace of shit. what a waste of time sorry but this game is crap and this choices was not meaningfull, sex scenes was pretty basic and everything was with good potential but went to the toilet on last chapter, what makes nonsense i couldnt even date what i wanted and its just ended like - here you are alone die and cry end. lol. one of the worst game here what i ended actualy and it was pointless. i was just wasting my time. i canceled date with one girl who just asked me to go to ball with her, but because i was like already told to one girl i will go with her i canceled, to just go to the halloween with that girl and say goodbyes and drink one coctail or what and to the bed. what a fuck was that. disapointed in game realy. Also characters didnt even stick with me game was too quick i didnt have time to actualy get to know them, there was not even romance its just you meet girl 2 times and she already all over you, but you want to try all other girls, to decided but this developer decides - no man, you need to decide now or die alone because other branches there is not even happening. sucks to be you. Last chapter you couldnt even say goodbyes to your girls and maybe say i love you and stick with them rest of the life, no they just throw you on the car and ending lol. yeah maybe i got bad ending, but its seemed great game with potential but ended poorly and was terrible overall experience. Also there was so many potential dating branches with others npcs what was in game, but they didnt give you even chance to hit on them. waste of time dont even try this game if you want good experience its realy bad.

Had my doubts at first, while there is a 'harem'..sort of, it's very much a BI harem, meaning you will see lesbian sex. You can't have straight relationships with all of the women here. 5 out of 6 LIs CAN be BI (I think of it like a multi-verse situation, in certain universes, they're BI, in others, they're on a solo straight route with the MC) If that disgusts you or triggers you in some way, I would avoid this. I thought I might not be up for it, and figured the MC would end up a 3rd wheel or something, but it's really not at all like that. The highlight of the game are the individual relationships you build with the women over the game. I decided to reject everyone but the two roommates you live with, and I think it worked out really well. I thought it would be the three of us together all the time, but the game really makes sure that the individual relationships with each woman and the MC are solidified before bringing it back to the threesome. The relationships grow VERY quickly, and the "I love you" came out so fast I had to laugh, but honestly, it was a nice refreshing change to have romance that wasn't just fucking, and the story never overstays its welcome. Story: Spoiler the main story is forgettable, I honestly started skipping through the non relationship moments because it was that ..meh. Choices: Spoiler the choices are pretty straight forward, and you have obvious off ramps for the relationships if you're just not feeling it. The girls I rejected pretty much disappeared almost instantly after the 2nd off ramp (one exception, Val, but there could have been an earlier off ramp, I had sex with her and THEN wanted off the ride hehe) Music: Spoiler incredible! Touching moments with the women were accented perfectly by the musical choices. Was shocked at how good it was. Models: Spoiler everyone is very attractive, the guy has a big penis of course. sex fantasy through and through. All the girls think you're the man, giant penis, etc, etc. Classic stuff. Sex scenes: Spoiler very hot, no complaints at all, and they aren't just 2 still shots, you have a variety of animiations, still shots, talking, etc. Very high quality imo. Honestly, it was refreshing to play a finished VN in this era of Patreons that go on for YEARS with updates every 3 - 6 months at minimum. I can safely replay this on a different route if I want, and not have to worry about any possible updates. It's a finished product, which alone, puts it to 'good/very good' rating for me. Oh, and if you come to this game first, you need to check out Heaven's Door, which is the devs 2nd game I believe, still in development (I know, I know). It's even better than this imo. Much better paced and the models are ridiculously attractive, and some good variety as well.

I can only say that the game is fantastic and each girl is unique compared to the others. They all have their own stories and struggles throughout the gameplay. If I were to choose one drawback, it's the villain Spoiler: Spoiler He is more of a plot device rather than someone who is actually dangerous. But outside of that minor inconvenience, the game is really great. For new players, I strongly recommend resisting the temptation and playing the Solo routes first; it will make you fall in love with each girl. The Multiple Girls routes are more of a bonus. In my first playthrough, I went the Harem route and there was not enough time to explore all the available girls, which really made me wonder why the game was rated so high. It was only when I played the Solo routes that I fell in love with each individual girl. Spoiler: Spoiler Heidi is best girl, though!

Its been a while since i have completed this game but i felt the need to give a review for this game. So i completed all endings except Zenda's route, and all i can say is that when i think about things IRL i also think about each girl in this game and miss them. all their stories are unique and you feel love for each character and especially that one ending Spoiler val's ending that pains your heart for some time and then brings you to a satisfying and beautiful conclusion. All i can say is if you like games where you actually feel something for the characters in the game, then you should play this.

It's one of the classic, a must play! I got the wholesome ending (throuple) and for the last few minutes playing I totally forgot that it was an adult game and I was just smiling at the screen! In general, multiple choices and endings, nice sex scenes, characters that you care about. The cons are no voices, the relationships seem railroaded, but in overall, it's enjoyable! Also, it has a "cameo" from a character of "Come Home" (and "Come Home" has one from here!)

ver. Bare Witness [Steam Build] [AlterWorlds] 2 stars might be rather harsh for an actual finished product, with pretty well-done erotic scenes. However... When it comes to a 'Visual Novel', it misses the 'novel' part. Basically, what it is, is a simulator where you can choose your favourite girl or girl combo, and then go through an extensive epilogue with your chosen option. There is little more than that. in fact, Chapter 1 and 2 were pretty badly written, with strange dialogues, cringe-worthy jokes, and mediocre art. It's after chapter 3 that the writing improved and the models were quite a lot nicer to look at (certainly the main character looked weird initially). I still finished it, but I did role my eyes quite often. There are a lot better games out there - even those that are unfinished.
