Beggar's Keep is a 2D RPG Maker game by HoraHora, presented with 2D computer graphics. You play as Rami Hoshino, a highly regarded student from the main military academy of the Kingdom of Arkelion. On graduation day, she receives an assignment as captain of a poorly kept fort on the kingdom's edge. Though disappointed, she vows to rebuild the post and become the finest captain Arkelion has known. The game mixes fantasy, management, and strategy, and uses a role-playing game format.
The currently available build version is v0.5, with development ongoing, released on July 16, 2026 for Windows and Mac platforms in English and uncensored. The latest listed changelog entry for v0.25 is a bug fix that corrected reported bugs.
Developer's description
In Beggar's Keep, you take control of Rami Hoshino, the fabulous school prodigy of the main military academy in the Kingdom of Arkelion. It is the day of graduation, and Rami is excitedly waiting for her post graduation work assignment, which turns out to be the position of fort captain at a rather run down fort on the outskirts of the kingdom. Although saddened by this outcome, she promises herself to do her best and fulfill her dream of becoming the greatest captain her kingdom has ever seen.
