Behind the Doom is a comic-based parody adult visual novel. After years of planning Dr Victor Von Doom is finally ready to enact his finest plan for world domination yet: rehabilitating the world's perception of himself as a benevolent philanthropist and Latveria as an enlightened utopia, poised to become the next superpower. Naturally such a ruler needs a fitting queen by his side... the invisible woman, Susan Storm. As his plan unfolds Doom soon discovers the many, many benefits of winning over not just her, but as many superheroines as possible to his cause... Note: This is an unofficial, fan remake of UnrulyAction's abandoned project Behind the Doom . It aims to fix all of the issues with the 0.8 release while adding and expanding all of the incomplete/removed content from the 0.7 release. The project is strictly a remake not a continuation. There are no plans for any new characters. The scope of the project is limited to the assets of the original project at the time it was abandoned. Save files from the original game are not compatible with this remake.

I was a big fan of the original release and in very glad it was saved after what happened with the original. Hopefully we can get more updates, because this was an amazing save. There is an actual feeling of progression with this. Only encountered one bug with Polaris where it keeps giving me her intro cutscene and the scene with her and Wanda every time I sleep and then go to Doom's bedroom.

I was a big fan of the original game, and am sad we won't get to see it finished. That said, this is a pretty good wrap-up given there's no more art from the original creator. It's not bug-free by any means (characters seem to refuse to use the nicknames you tell them to, and I had a thing where Polaris's intro scene kept triggering for like 20 days) but it's better than the last update we got. It is too grindy for my tastes and the questlog isn't super helpful sometimes - "talk to this character in their cell" isn't helpful when there's no dialogue option and you have to do other stuff to unlock it. The battle system is interesting, but there seem to be skills that aren't useful and a lot of things aren't explained well. The game economy should have more options for passive income from investments, otherwise it's just a lot of assigning missions -> special activities to grind stats -> end day. All those complaints aside (they're minor in the overall picture), I admire the work put into reviving this and restoring cut content. I hope there's another version that fixes a few things above, but otherwise I think EroDev would be a good asset to a team working on a game.

A really solid remake. EroDev fixed the bugs, restored a lot of the unfinished content, cleaned up the script, added a proper gallery, and made the game run smoothly. The existing scenes are great, and now they’re actually playable and easy to revisit. Short? Yes. Incomplete? Yes. But this is hands-down the best version we’ll ever get, and it’s absolutely worth your time. Huge respect to EroDev for saving it.
