About Best Friends

Best Friends is an adult visual novel by Faenon, made with Ren'Py and presented in 3D CG with animated scenes. It follows two Geordie friends finishing school and heading to university, where one has kept a major secret from the other. You can follow the narrative from either friend's perspective in a kinetic-style story that leans more on character drama than complex mechanics. Themes include trans identity, cheating, and lesbian relationships.

The current build is v1.0.0, dated August 23, 2026. Development is ongoing: free access to the first two chapters is on itch, while chapter 3 is on Patreon. It runs on Windows, Linux, and Mac, is in English, and is uncensored. The newest changelog entry, Chapter 12.1 Part 1, includes the opening half of the concluding chapter, as the duo start year three of their time at Finch Green university. The update has 14 scenes, 439 renders, and 2823 code lines.
