This is not meant to be as a H game IMO, you can if you want but the atmosphere of the game is so well done, you will never see what is coming next. The story and the unique horror make the game worth it, even with the lackluster h-scenes.
I am Fritz Haber and I approve this game. I come here to celebrate the Steam release, and I recommend everyone buy the game on Steam or DLSite if you have played it here. This game is genuinely the golden standard of Hentai Games. Even if you dislike the content shown in both the first and second game (such as loli content, rape, and enslavement), the story alone makes this one of the best games of all time. An amazing story based off Alice In Wonderland and the various works of Lovecraft alongside many other eldritch authors, every moment is captivating and emotional. The writing is amazing and profound in it's own ways. From the simplicity of "You sense a black presence..." from the first game and DLC3 to Lorde's speech (Creation is a self-indulgent, lonely game), every bit of dialogue feels like it was written with a purpose. If you have ever played the masterfully written game Outer Wilds, Black Souls 2's writing almost reaches that rank. The art is stylistically amazing, working well as a rough, pencil-drawn images. Every scene feels immaculate and every character is memorable in a way that many others fail to achieve. The only criticism this game gets from me is it's combat, which, much like the first game, is basic RPGMaker gameplay with a small twist here and there. While this game tries interesting ideas like every weapon being unique ala Bloodborne, there are clear metas like GunClock that feel borderline required late into the game. After awhile the game feels impossible without cheese methods like GunClock and Requiem spam. The lack of allies unlike the first game does not help much in this regard, unfortunately (which is both a shame and relief seeing as the heroines were a major part of the first game. Black Souls 2 tries to be a true sequel which tries new things and not Black Souls 1.5, and as such I shall not hold it against the game). Despite that all, the combat is worth pushing through, if only to see the rest of the game. As a wise man once told me, the true reward of a boss fight isn't loot or exp, but simply being able to see the rest of the game. If I have to fistfight the usher to watch the rest of the movie and the usher is a real badass, I'm leaving if the first part of the movie bored me. Official Fritz Haber Hentai Review Ranking™: 1914 points out of 1914 This game will change you.
best game on this site because in terms of everything except h-scenes it makes shitty rpgm combat to something masterful with great i ever dear to say that we play it only for story and gameplay but dlc 3 is way to hard i mean final boss was pretty easy in comparision to anything else even normal enemies
I don't know why it attracts me, but art style is catching my glaze too much to drop it off. Although too much grind is required to finish DLC and main story properly... Still, i would recommend to try it because of art style at least.
It's a constructed masterpiece, with previous iteration polish and shave the game narrative through out continuous DLC. Pure discretion, experience can greatly differed if you haven't play the prequel, mainly the mechanic since this entry is way more hands free on exploration while DLC content add more difficulty content mixed in the base game. There already a lot of video documentation the game little detail, but some context from older build will forever lost, for example: Enemy from Upper Ludwig used to have normal sprite and changed to bandaged if player reach certain threshold. Narratively it make sense ; "It's not a perfect loop, It's not even a loop " Node book also documented this, since in 3rd DLC player started on 20+ loop. But that also means new player get robed from the mystique to constructing their own interpretation. Due note, since the game already complete there will hardly be an update to fix future error or bugs. And I find quite an oversight when repeating the game with DLC item can soft-lock the combat: Spoiler: 0 Sen pure magic build berserker With the implementation of DLC equipment, there become a build that can stuck player in combat loop continuously. The Pure Magic Build. It's a fun build using [Old King's Ring] (Double MAG, set STR to 1), paired with "Awakening" Spell synergize with [Two-Faced Shield] effect, But I recommend to not set SEN to 0 when entering Slaughterhouse with this build. There you'll meet "Her", an enemy that can inflict berserk status [Greatly Increase Base ATK, Automatically Attack if status still active] that forcing player to attack with 0 base damage for the rest of his turn. Since SPD got caped in this entry, there is no chance to outrun the status, the other attack enemy has is one-shot kill that trigger only when player HP has reach critical threshold, making it guaranteed that the enemy will re-inflict berserk status again and again infinitely. Way to circumstance this is by using [Lost Blade], an equipment that use MAG as base attack instead of STR. Destroying [Demon Catalyst] Synergy as Mana Battery Canon So yeah, Magic build in this entry has it's caveat.
Finished this game a while ago like 6 months or somethin ago. As crazy as it may seem, i actually fapped to those scribbledoodles multiple times when i played it. I really like the world and setting of this game, and wanted to counteract the below review by droppin some stars
After playing for one hour, all I can say is I am befuddled. Incredibly difficult fights with 0% chance of winning or running away, and forced to trial and experiment. The beginning H scenes with Alice and Node were pretty mediocre as well, so even as H game it would not be great. I tried going to sanity 0 which did make scene more creepy and show new enemies. But they still whooped my butt and forced me to warp back to get back sanity. I just don't understand this game... wandering through a weird wonderland with no semblance of plot. Mediocre game
Amazing game with interesting story and beautiful art. The combat is fun and interesting and builds on all of the things that the previous game did well, and the music is fantastic as always. Overall, I think it's even better than the first game, and it has a lot of replay value with all of the different endings and a lot of H-scenes that you might miss on a first playthrough. The game is very much structured to be played multiple times and each run is fairly unique; I've played through the game at least 3 times now and I'm still noticing new details.
Gameplay is very different from Black Souls 1 (should try it ngl) and it also has a whole different hit to it (spoilers) it's pretty amazing to see the sequel giving us extra info about why Black Souls 1 was so confusing, since I grinded all the endings it was still confusing on why Alice and Mary sue was enemies but that's a whole different topic, amazing story, amazing combat and the h scenes are actually pretty deserving, not having to enter the covenant with them immediately, but having to raise their relationship bar
For me, Black Souls wasn't just a game, but a completely different experience from anything I'd ever played. It looks easy, but it's incredibly difficult. You need a lot of skill and confidence when attacking. Be careful with enemies that seem way out of reach. But still, Black Souls is something else entirely; it's one of my favorite games. Its soundtrack is fantastic, and the character designs are impressive and different from what you're used to seeing. That's what makes it so distinctive. The art style—you can tell everything was hand-drawn, and I love that.
A porn game that puts more focus in the GAME part, honestly i forgot about the porn part cause i was having an aneurysm trying to piece the lore together, 10/10 id go to alice again. Also for the love of god please do not fight the unicorn trust me on this.
Even though my RPGM heart is occupied by Demons Roots, this masterpiece deserves a solid 5+/5, i'm honestly out of words how deep can hentai game can go in terms of lore. This is something you'll never experience with your day-to-day SFW Steam releases. This work of fiction single-handedly confused, puzzled, buffled, bewildered, confounded and discombobulated my view on story-telling in the RPGM games, better than interesting amount of VNs i read.
Black Souls II really does feel like the perfect sequel to the first game, Highlighting a bunch of what made the first game good while adding just so much more to enjoy. to a fault at times. It's actually possible to compare the two directly, where the first game feels like a simple children's book in setting, sticking to simple tropes and simple color schemes to give off a generic fairytale-esq vibe. This game feels like picking up the official hardcover variant of the original fairy tale rather than a summarized version for younger audiences. There's a lot more characters, lot more variety in locations, especially in how unique and interesting most of them tend to be, Such as Spoiler: Listed Locations (Late game / DLC3) The Clock tower, Carroll River, Ripon Cathedral, All of Winterbell and especially Queensland and the Nursing Graveyard which on my playthrough, lead to me being absolutely immersed in such a huge world to explore with a GIANT roster of characters in comparison to the first. The gameplay and story aswell gained a massive improvement, through the addition of new mechanics and equipment, the game managed to keep a similar yet clearly improved combat system, aswell as the new characters and locations allowing for a much more diverse and unique story in comparison to the first. And the art. It's a very opinionated taste, not everyone is going to enjoy the style, but the art style PERFECTLY fits the game in any way I could think of, its both wholeheartedly unique and absolutely perfect for the setting and themes of the series that it's grown on me a lot. The improvements between RRW, BS1 and now BS2 paint a perfect picture of how much love and effort has been put into this series by the developer. Now the issues, entirely lie in how the game has been supersized. Not all characters are as memorable as the initial cast, nor are even plot relevant at times, There of course are amazing standout examples but for how the first game balanced everything right, it should be noted that the cast is not collectively as strong but are mostly heavy-lifted by a good amount of notable examples. Aswell as replayability. I seriously would never suggest replaying this game unless you've somehow managed to forget all of the discoveries or you can manage to enjoy it just as much as the first playthrough. (which, i envy you). The series is a titan of the genre for a reason, it's near perfection to me and I feel both games are basically must-plays for the medium.
Story? Best game in RPGM genre in terms of story, its absolutely great. Music? Its is pretty good, it fits most battles and locations well. The battle system is... Mediocre honestly. Its mostly difficult/tactical in the beginning Spoiler: Later stages of the game... , in later stages of the game all you need to do is to not get oneshotted because you can use healing items without spending a turn. The art? Its... Unique, but in a good way. I had enjoyed watching scenes/illustrations in this game. Fetishes? Holy, this game has many things to show. Alice? ALICEALICEALICEALI- The only con i can think of currently is that it has very little/no settings at all. But seriously, the plot and story in this game is worth everything. Want to forget everything so that i could experience this game anew again.
Gameplay: Turn-Based RPG, a classic and incorporates alot of Strategy Immersion: Once you get into the rhythm of the game, the game calls you and doesn't let you escape Story: Peak, 10/10 Difficulty: Medium - Really Difficult World building: Have a lot of Places and Characters that can move your emotions Souls: Black
Didn't you already fuck around and find out what happen in BS1? Of course not, it actually didn't explain the other 90% of it. SO WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR, YOU CAN'T JUST LET IT STEAL YOUR TIME LIKE THAT. You need answers, answers to the blasphemy you've experienced from that gruesome horror and clusterfuck that didn't give you the right true ending regardless, all because of that grassy fairy hoe. Now you are wandering and wondering, those that previously helped you, who are you?.... BS2, like BS1, incorporates fairly similar combat gameplay with souls-like difficulty and progression, it also comes with DLC that further edges your masochistic soul to face extreme pain and grind. The world it further presents to you are more uglier and horrifying, when all you wanted was just seggs and good wholesome ending, which the previous series didn't quite satiate your desire. The main spotlight of BS2 is the extreme abuse of route branching and how your repeating cycles relates to this "branching". You want to use your stick to stick into every branch you find, and this time you will die x50 times more than previous series and perhaps x300 times more in the DLC, just to understand Black Souls' fuckery.
Its the game that got me into Hgames and the only other game i've played that has come close is Monstergirl Quest. The story this game tells is amazing and makes what should be unrelatable characters relatable. It makes you happy to do horrible things. (And if you like rape there is a shitton here) The gameplay I love but not everyone is into turn based combat. The end game bosses are like puzzles that you have to solve. And the final boss of the game chefs kiss.
a VERY well crafted story, striking art style, and an exceptional soundtrack. Black Souls II stands out as one of the most narratively rich H-games ive ever played. the level of detail and world building is GENUINELY impressive, especially for the genre. the player’s freedom including the ability to kill nearly any NPC adds a compelling layer of depth. with multiple endings the replay value is outstanding easily a 10/10 TL;DR: this is an extraordinary experience for an H-game. the care and effort invested in its creation are definitely here, and the story is so engaging that i often forgot its adult nature altogether
black souls 2 is peak fiction, everything about it goes above and beyond a normal H game. I Highly recommend playing the first one though as it sets this one up. Overall the blacksouls series is lowkey the best H game on here and the gameplay is nothing to scoff at either.
Came for the porn, stayed for the plot. Easily the best in terms of plot, even when compared to normal plot-focused games. Gameplay is arguably the most advanced for RPGM games as well. However, the plot is not for the faint of heart. If you don't want to see the characters suffer, or expect happy outcomes, this isn't the game for you.
