Broken Promises is a Ren'Py adult dating sim by Light Cavalry, set in Vetro City, a place worn down by drugs, corruption, and criminal groups. You play a young detective carrying old grief as he tries to enter that criminal world and seek justice for people who are gone. The game uses animated 3D rendered visuals and a romance focus, with choices and story progression typical of the genre.
The current build is v0.403, released on December 12, 2025, and development is ongoing. It runs on Windows, Linux, Mac, and Android in English, with no censorship. The latest changelog lists Chapter 4, 4,489 renders, 17 animations totaling 1,538 frames, and 11,019 lines of code. The update also brings UI changes, new SFX and music, fixes to Chapter 3.5 variables, and added Discord activity.
